MIYAKO – Ashiya Douman

The last route in MIYAKO. My head was a bit dizzy during this route, so I apologize if this post is messy and hard to follow. I have mixed feelings about Douman’s story though.. (´・ω・`A；)

Douman is the leader of Satashuu, a mysterious group who’s also working under Izumi for the capital. People calls him the “shadow of history” because of his great power, combined with a broad range of knowledge and superb techniques. Some people even believes that Douman is actually stronger than Seimei. Douman made a vow after a certain incident a long time ago, and now he’s doing everything he can to achieve his objective.

MIYAKO – Abe no Seimei

Here’s our favorite ドS onmyouji‘s route. In the other routes Seimei just.. disappears without a clear reason, so here you’ll find out what actually happens to him during that missing period.

The famous great onmyouji, traditional Japanese exorcist, known throughout the land. Seimei is Sayuki’s master and treats her like a housemaid. He makes her clean the mansion, wash his clothes, cook his meals, any kinds of household chores in general. His idea of “having fun” is to think about what kind of punishment he’ll give for his shikigamis. That aside, his skills are top-notch and he’s allowed to choose his own missions in Shigo-ryou.

MIYAKO – Shikigami Nigou

I guess you can tell already from the banner? Nigou is my main target in Miyako, as he stole my heart during the prologue lol. But this route made me cry until my tears run dry. ｡･ﾟ･(ﾉД`)･ﾟ･｡

Seimei’s second shikigami. Nigou takes the form of a flame bird, though he looks more like an eccentric chicken instead. He speaks in kansai-ben and is the mood-maker of Shigou-ryou, doing silly things just for laughs. Unlike Ichigou, Nigou is really honest with his feelings and often hits on Sayuki, sticking to her when he gets the chance to do so. He’s really confident in his “good looks” too, as he keeps asking if she falls in love because he’s that handsome.

MIYAKO – Shikigami Ichigou

Ichigou ｷﾀ━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)｡Ａ｡)━━━!! I’ve been waiting for this route since he’s the tsundere, so there must be a lot of cute scenes. His story is a lot more bittersweet than I expected though.

Seimei’s first shikigami. Ichigou doesn’t seem pleased to meet Sayuki and throws various kinds of complaints at her, but he actually cares about her as a senior. His element is fire and he can summon flames freely, which fits his personality in battle. Instead of thinking of strategies, Ichigou would rather burn everything that gets in his way. He’s really loyal and dedicated to Seimei as his shikigami, following every order he gives without exception.

MIYAKO – Minamoto no Yorimitsu / Raikou

Since he’s from the Minamoto family, Raikou keeps giving me HaruToki flashbacks lol. I love his character a lot though, so this route is enjoyable for me even though it’s similar to Izumi’s.

His real name is Minamoto no Yorimitsu, but everyone calls him Raikou, which is an alternative way to read his name. “Raikou” also means lightning, reflecting his ability to kill ayakashi in an instant. Raikou is Izumi’s guard who runs Shigou-ryou with him. They grew up together and are inseparable ever since they were small. He’s normally serious and sincere, but from time to time he also shows a clumsy and cute side as well.

MIYAKO – Izumi

There were so many things ruining my concentration during Izumi’s route, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. If you’re a Namikawa fan, then you have to play this for Izumi! ε-(*´∀`|萌|

Izumi is the 17-years-old prince of the capital. He’s the one who leads Shigo-ryou, a working group that takes requests from everyone, ranging from nobles to commoners. Izumi gives off the impression of a playful, frivolous person, but everyone loves his kindness and graceful manners. He’s also more reliable then he looks, devising various kinds of plans during their missions. There’s also a rumor about him hiding a secret power.

MIYAKO – Genshin

Following the recommended order, I started the game with Genshin’s route. First impression? He needs a new hairstyle. But appearance aside, this route is better than I expected. (。・ω・。)

Genshin is a Tendai high priest working for Shigo-ryou, making him Sayuki’s workmate as well. He has the atmosphere of a calm, broad-minded adult. A reliable older brother / senior figure in the group, Genshin is always smiling at all times. He’s a rare, soothing presence who often stops the other members from fighting. Genshin loves children and runs a school in the capital, teaching the children when he’s not working. Even on his day-offs.
