Takumi is one of Yuna’s classmates, but he’s actually one year older than her. He rarely comes to school and didn’t have enough attendance last year, so he has to repeat a year. Unpredictable and elusive, Takumi loves confusing people and watching their reaction. His private life is mostly shrouded in mystery, but he’s well-known among the local delinquents. A lot of girls are interested in his dangerous and mysterious aura, but he actually likes serious girls.
When Yuna explores the city on April 4, she gets lost around the game center and ends up in the back alley. She notices that a lot of dangerous-looking people are lurking around the area, and she panics when a tall guy approaches her — asking her what’s wrong. Yuna eventually gathers up the courage to tell him that she just moved to the city, and she doesn’t know the way back to the station. Surprisingly, the guy guides her back to the shopping arcade and shows her the way to the station. He then asks for her school name and class, and when she answers that it’s 2-C in St. Louis High, he reveals that he’s actually one of her new classmates — Mishiro Takumi. Yuna is surprised since he doesn’t look like a student, and Takumi explains that he’s actually one year older than her. He just stayed back a year due to.. reasons. As a classmate, Takumi warns Yuna not to wander around the back alley again. Girls like her are prey to the local delinquents, and he might “hunt” her if they meet in the back alley next time. Takumi then leaves saying he’ll see her again at school, and Yuna thinks about how unpredictable he is.
On April 8, Yuna sees Takumi in the school hallway. She finds it surprising that he came to school, but he says he’s going to skip school tomorrow. He tells her that his mother is ill, so he needs to work and save money for her hospital fees. Yuna completely falls for this, and she asks Takumi to tell her whenever he needs help — she’ll help him as much as she can. He frowns in silence upon hearing this, then he says she’s too kind and trusting. What he said earlier was obviously a lie, and he thinks she’s going to suffer in the long run if she trusts people that much. ＼(^o^)／ Yuna then asks why he often skips school, but Takumi only grins saying people have different reasons behind their actions. Then he goes off to eat in the cafeteria, leaving her wondering about what kind of reasons he has to skip school.
On April 13, Yuna captures Takumi in front of the school gate. She asks him to attend classes properly, and he asks if she gets any demerits if he skips school. Yuna reminds Takumi that he won’t be able to graduate if he doesn’t have enough attendance, but he calmly says he’ll think about it when the time comes. When she mentions that making friends is also an important part of school life, he replies that most people in school are avoiding him anyway. Besides, it’s not that he comes to school because he wants to make friends. Yuna then asks why he sometimes comes to school if he’s only going to skip classes, and Takumi replies it’s because there’s something — or someone — interesting. Someone who’s standing right in front of him, to be exact. He finds her interesting since she doesn’t avoid him like everyone else, and he thinks it’s worth coming to school just to see her. He hates getting lectured or scolded though, so he wants her to remember keep that in mind. ヽ(*´ー`*)ﾉ

Just when Yuna turns around to examine the bushes behind her, suddenly she feels something sticking onto her back. She asks if there’s something weird on her back, but Takumi only lets a mischievous grin and says there’s nothing weird. There’s just something “cute” on her back. At first she thinks it’s a butterfly, but it’s creeping all over her back and gives her the chills. Takumi asks Yuna not to be so rude, and he introduces her to his beloved pet — Kii-kun the lizard. ＼(^o^)／ She instantly screams and asks him to take the lizard off her back, and while he actually wants to enjoy her reaction for an hour, he has no choice but to take his lizard since she says she’ll go home if he keeps teasing her LOL. Yuna then asks if Takumi loves reptiles, and he says he does. He finds them cute and charming, especially the way they change their expressions. They look just like her! Since Takumi wouldn’t stop bugging her, Yuna changes the subject by asking him to help her beating the last boss in a game. Luckily the girl — Takizawa Mika — only has some scratches and sprain, and she opens her eyes not too long after her parents came to the hospital. Noticing that Mika calls her parents by “uncle” and “aunt”, Takumi takes her parents outside to ask about this. Before leaving, Takumi tells Mika to be careful. They can always buy a new ball, but nothing can replace her life. Takumi then asks Mika to swear on the pendant, and when he mentions his name, Mika says that it sounds nostalgic. He says it’s just because his name is common, but he promises to play with her after she recovers. After leaving the hospital, Takumi tells Yuna that he was the one who made Mika’s pendant. It was the pendant he gave his “sister” when he left the orphanage, so he’s pretty sure that Mika is really his “sister” from the orphanage. Yuna thinks Mika will be happy if she learns about this, but Takumi says he has no intentions to reveal the truth. It turns out they found an old picture of Mika and Takumi at the orphanage, so they want to confirm if it’s really him since they heard that Mika had a big brother there. When Takumi replies that Mika and him are not blood-related siblings, both Masashi and Satoko ask him not to tell Mika that he was her big brother. They explain that Mika was bullied for being an orphan, so they want her to forget about the orphanage and start a new life. Recently Mika has started calling them “mother” and “father” too, and they ask him to understand — it’s for Mika’s sake. When Takumi tells them that he has no intentions of revealing the truth to Mika, Masashi and Satoko are so relieved. Takumi remains silent when they apologize and promise to make Mika happy, but Yuna soon interrupts saying she can’t accept this. They’re trying to conceal the past for Mika, but Mika never said that she wants to forget her past in the orphanage. They don’t even know that Mika is wishing to have a big brother, so Yuna tells them to talk to Mika properly — for Takumi.
After leaving Mika’s parents, Yuna apologizes to Takumi for saying too much. She has no regrets though, and he says he knows what she’s trying to say.. but he’s fine with this outcome. Takumi thanks Yuna saying he’s happy with her feelings, and he stops her from arguing because he has her. When Takumi says she needs to go home early and prepare, Mika refuses saying she still wants to play with Yuna and him.. but he tells her not to make her parents worry, and she eventually smiles when they promise to send her off tomorrow. Takumi also says that Mika looks cuter when she’s smiling, and Mika replies that he should say those lines to Yuna only — which causes him to go Σ(ﾟдﾟ ；) LOL. When Yuna comments that she can’t draw that expression out of Takumi, Mika says they make a really good couple. She thinks Takumi looks cooler over time because he has Yuna. (人´∀`)☆゜’・:* They take a long detour as they walk her home, holding her hands from both sides.
Just as they promised, Takumi and Yuna go to send Mika off the next day. Mika’s parents are surprised to see them, and Mika asks them not to get angry since she was the one who told them about today.. but instead of getting angry, Masashi apologized to Takumi for everything he said before. Masashi also asked Takumi to understand their decision, and knowing they’re moving in order to avoid him, Takumi says he understands. He wants Mika to be happy too, and he asks them to take care of Mika. Before leaving, Mika gives Takumi a letter — asking him to read it later. Mika asks Takumi to play with her again someday, and in return, Takumi asks Mika to promise that she’ll get along with her parents. At first Mika seems reluctant, but she eventually promises to do so and tearfully says goodbye to Takumi and Yuna. The last words they hear is “bye bye, Takumi onii-chan!”
After the Takizawa family left, Takumi tells Yuna that he’ll be satisfied as long as Mika has a happy life. He actually wants her to forget about him and be happy. When Yuna hugs him from behind, Takumi jokingly says she’s really bold.. but he knows she’s trying to comfort him, and she apologizes since it’s the only thing she can do for him. They read Mika’s letter together after that, and she wrote that she’ll be lonely without them. She won’t forget them even if they’re apart, so she wants them to remember her too. She thanked them for playing with her up until now, and she ended the letter with the word “onii-chan.” Takumi says it’s just the shortened form of “Takumi onii-chan”, but Yuna points out that she also put a wooden pendant in the envelope.. which means that she does remember him as her big brother from the orphanage. When Yuna mentions that Mika will grow up and get a boyfriend in the future, Takumi laughs saying he’ll judge whether the boyfriend is worthy of his sister.. though Yuna thinks he’s behaving more like a father instead. Takumi says he doesn’t want weird guys to bother Mika, but he’s not as worried about Yuna because she’s got him. Even though he’s aware that he’s weird too. ヽ(*´ー`*)ﾉ Takumi then asks if Yuna is interested in stock trading, and when she admits that she might not be able to remember everything, he answers that he’ll continue teaching her for the rest of his life. In the epilogue, Takumi is helping out in the orphanage several days per week. He’s still working as a day trader, but he wants to look after the orphans as well. Even though Takumi keeps saying it’s simply because “he’s free,” Yuna knows he actually wants to make them happy. One day Yuna visits them in the orphanage, and Takumi asks her to help out too. Just like before, the children asks if she’s his girlfriend. Takumi only gives them a vague answer — much to Yuna’s dismay — and the children ask if they’re really dating. The children then ask them to prove it with a kiss, and Yuna protests saying they can’t kiss in front of people.. but Takumi decides to fulfill their request and kisses her on the spot. ﾟ+.(*ﾉωヾ*)ｬﾝ♪+ﾟ The children excitedly ask if they’re going to get married, and Takumi answers that he’s planning to do so. They should respect Masashi and Satoko’s decision to become Mika’s foster parents, and revealing the past might really stir. a confusion As long as Mika is happy, Takumi has no intentions of telling her the truth.. so the only thing Yuna can do is to wish for their happiness.
On February 6, Yuna is spacing out when Takumi visits her room. (○´ﾟωﾟ｀):;*.’:;ﾌﾞｯ Soon Yuna hears a familiar voice calling Takumi’s name from outside, and they open the door to find Mika standing in front of the house — asking them to play with her. He asks if she already told her parents, and when she says no, he tells her they can’t play since her parents will be worried. Takumi also wants to know why Mika keeps coming to see him, and Mika reluctantly says it’s because he reminds her of her “big brother” in the orphanage. Mika also says that Takumi is really kind despite his attempt to hide it, and he replies that Yuna and her are the only ones who think that way. When Takumi tells her to get her parents’ permission first, Mika says they’re not her real parents. She never calls them “father” and “mother”, and she asks if Takumi will be able to do so if he’s in her position.. but he answers that he can. He notices that Mika actually wants to get along with her foster parents, and he tells her everything will be okay. She’ll get along with them over time. When Mika takes out her phone to contact her parents, Yuna comments that she has a cute beaded kitten strap hanging on her phone. Mika happily thanks her, and she explains that Satoko made it for her. Yuna wonders if Satoko noticed that Mika is treasuring the beaded strap, because it can be a trigger for them to get along better as a family.
When they meet up with Mika one week later, on February 13, Yuna asks if she hass made any progress in calling her parents “father” and “mother”. Sadly Mika still can’t do it, as she keeps calling them “uncle / aunt” or their names instead. Takumi thinks Mika needs a trigger to start, but he says Yuna’s suggestion is pretty good too — she should try saying it casually. Sadly Mika also feels that Masashi and Satoko are keeping a distance between them, and Takumi says they can’t form a bond unless both parties make their moves, but he tells Mika that a bond can be formed even without blood. It all depends on their feelings. This reminds Mika of her big brother again, and she promises to do her best in getting along with her parents. After saying goodbye to Mika, Yuna tells Takumi that Mika looks worried. Takumi noticed too, but he pats Yuna’s head and asks her not to feel sad. All they can do is to give advice and support Mika from behind. Of course Takumi is doing his best to help Mika, but he’s relying on Yuna too — though he covers it up by teasing her and messing up her hair.
When they reach Yuna’s house, Takumi admits that he actually wants to tell Mika the truth.. but he knows nobody will be happy except for himself. He keeps holding back since he doesn’t want to prioritize his self-satisfaction. Takumi wants Yuna to ignore what he said, but she apologizes saying she can’t do that. She can’t give him a good advice since she has a good family, but she tells him that spring is coming soon. It’s the season of beginning, so she believes a good thing is waiting for them ahead. Takumi falls into silence, and Yuna asks if he thinks she’s stupid.. but he says she might be right. Just when Yuna wonders if Mika is away, Satoko comes home and tells them that Mika should be inside. She’s really surprised when they inform her that Mika isn’t answering the doorbell, not to mention she doesn’t pick up her phone either. Yuna decides to search for Mika with Takumi, and they finally find her in a corner of the park. Mika apologizes for making them worry, and she cries as she explains that she lost her phone. She’s been looking for it everywhere, but she couldn’t find it. Yuna and Takumi ask Mika to go home first since her parents are worried sick, and there she tells her parents that she has lost her phone along with the beaded kitten Satoko made for her. They can always buy a new phone and make a new strap for her, but it’s still different because it was the first birthday present she received from her “mother”. Mika apologizes for running out of the house without telling them, and when they welcome her back.. she finally calls them “father” and “mother”.
Yuna is glad to see that “spring” has come for the Takizawa family, and Takumi wonders if he should see his foster parents too. He gave a lot of advice to Mika regarding her parents, so he should try to reconcile with his parents as well. Otherwise it’d be so uncool. After seeing Mika and her parents, Takumi admits that he wants a family too — asking Yuna to become his family since he wants walk beside her in life.
