Festa Regalo! – Main Scenarios

Since Festa Regalo is short, I’m going to merge all the main scenarios / routes into one post. There are jokes and puns everywhere, but I won’t be translating them since the jokes will be lost anyway. Food pictures ahead! ヾ(*・ω・)ノ ♪

In Festa Regalo, each character has four main scenarios along with a prologue and an epilogue. Once you’ve unlocked a scenario, you can replay them from the “recollection” menu in Felicita’s room. There are no CGs in this part of the game, but you can unlock extra scenes and CGs by clearing the main scenario. You’ll also receive nine of each phantom ingredient, so you can cook the dish again even after finishing the main scenario.

LIBERTA

Prologue

Liberta’s scenario begins with him inviting Felicita to the market, looking for something they can use in Feast★Duello. Since it’s autumn, they can find horse mackerels, salmons and porcini mushrooms in the market. After an encounter with Pace in porcini costume, Liberta gets inspired to make his favorite food for Feast★Duello—Penne all’Arrabbiata. The necessary ingredients are tomato, garlic, parsley and also red pepper. According to his memo, there are “phantom red peppers” that only appear in autumn. They’re obviously spicy, but also incredibly delicious. Felicita also gets fired up after hearing this, and so it marks the beginning of their journey to search for the phantom red pepper…

Scenario 1

Liberta and Felicita’s first destination is the beach. They run into Nino and Orso there, and they’re teasing Liberta for having such a “radiant youth” with Felicita. Since Orso was the one who informed him about the phantom red pepper, Liberta tries asking him for more information… but apparently the phantom red pepper he ate before came from Dante’s cabin. He ate it without Dante’s permission, and he asks them to keep it a secret. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ However, he also explains that phantom red peppers are rare and can be found at the beginning of autumn. Now that the harvest season is over, they should be able to find one in the market. Before Liberta and Felicita leave for the market, Orso gives them some penne for their recipe.

Scenario 2

Unfortunately, the phantom red peppers are sold out in the market. Liberta suggests buying all the other ingredients first, and soon he bumps into Nova—who’s looking for some milk for Feast★Duello. The thing is he wants to use high-quality milk, so he wants to choose directly from the… cow. Of course they won’t be able to find actual cows in the market, so Liberta tells him that he’ll find them at the farm. Nova gives them some garlic as a token of gratitude. Before running off to the farm, he also mentions a rumor about how the phantom red peppers can be found in the forest… and so their next destination is set.

Scenario 3

After searching in the forest for a while, Liberta and Felicita find a lot of colorful mushrooms… along with Ash in a porcini costume. He just turned like that when Pace forced him to transform. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Sadly Ash doesn’t know anything about the phantom red peppers, and when Liberta asks if he can find one by using his tiger instincts, he rages at them for treating him like an animal. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ Instead of the phantom red peppers, they end up finding a catnip tree in the forest. It attracts all sorts of cats to gather around it, ranging from Ash to Fran—Federica’s white cat who has escaped again. Noticing that Federica is looking for her cat, they help catching Fran and bring her back to Federica’s place. In return, she gives them some tomatoes for their recipe.

Scenario 4

Liberta and Felicita take another attempt at the search, but this time they go deeper into the forest. They finally find the phantom red pepper there, but soon Dante appears and goes to eat one of them. Liberta obviously protests because the phantom red peppers are rare, but Dante reveals that they’re actually not THAT rare. He eats then regularly as a snack while drinking, and he actually has a lot of them LOL. Dante then hands the phantom red peppers to Felicita, and they walk back to the port after that—where Liberta repeatedly tries to say that Orso ate the phantom red peppers in Dante’s cabin. However, Dante actually knew about this. He noticed that the plate’s position changed, and since it’s inside his cabin… he figured out that it must be one of his men. Orso turns blue and apologizes before escaping with Nino, and Dante dashes off to chase after them. Now that the ingredients are complete, the rest depends on Liberta and Felicita’s cooking skills.

Epilogue

After winning Feast★Duello, Liberta and Felicita use the “One-Day Papa” reward to hold a celebration party for their victory. Everyone in the family has to participate and cook something delicious for them. Of course Pace is more interested in doing the eating, while Debito only cooks for women. Jolly doesn’t mind cooking for them, but do they have the courage to eat it…? (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ As Liberta and Dante throw lame puns at each other, everyone comments that those two are growing more and more similar to each other… though they get terrified when Jolly says he can make them even more similar. Starting from the head. Or rather, the hair. ψ(*`ー´)ψ ゥヶヶ

Once they’re alone in the kitchen, Liberta admits that he also used “One-Day Papa” to stay by Felicita’s side. Mondo raged in jealousy since he wants to stay with Felicita too, but in the end Liberta got his wish granted. The two of them celebrate their victory by eating his special Penne all’Arrabbiata after that.

NOVA

Prologue

Nova’s scenario begins when Felicita visits his office to discuss about the menu for Feast★Duello. Both of them don’t have any specific recipe in mind, but Nova wants it to be something that can make Mondo and Sumire happy. Since Felicita suggested going with something that he likes, they go to check dessert recipes in the library after that… because as much as he wants to hide it, he actually loves sweets. (*´∀`*) There they meet the members of “Cups”, who give them the idea of making Monte Bianco. It’s based on the image of a snowy mountain, and Sumire would especially love it because it resembles Mount Fuji in Japan. Plus, it also has sugar violet on top as a decoration. Regarding the ingredients, Nova has heard a rumor about “phantom chestnuts” before. The taste is richer compared to regular chestnuts, and it would be perfect for desserts. They’re going to find the best chestnut for their Monte Bianco. Σd(ゝ∀・)ィィ!!!

Scenario 1

From there, Nova and Felicita go to the chestnut store in the market. On the way there, Liberta suddenly appears and rams himself into Nova—wearing the “Warrior Liberta” mask he usually puts on to entertain the kids. When Nova asks if he knows about the phantom chestnuts, Liberta answers that he actually has eaten a Monte Bianco made with the phantom chestnuts before. According to his memo, the taste of the chestnut is really rich compared to a regular Monte Bianco. That’s about the only information they can get from him, but at least they know that phantom chestnuts really do exist. Before running off to see the kids, Liberta gives Nova some milk and tells him to drink it so he can grow taller. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ

Scenario 2

When Nova and Felicita come to the chestnut store, the owner confirms that phantom chestnuts do exist. He managed to get them once a few years ago, but sadly he never saw them again ever since. Nova and Felicita then move to the port, where they run into Ash. When they tell him about their search, Ash reveals that he has eaten a Monte Bianco made with the phantom chestnuts too before. It was on another town, and all he can remember is that the phantom chestnuts actually comes from Regalo. Back then Ash was busy with Joshua’s shopping orders, and they end up listening to his complaints because Joshua actually ordered him around a lot—such as sending him to fetch magazines or adjust his monocle LOL. Since Ash follows the principle of equivalent trade, he gives them some whipped cream in return. He also mentions that he heard about the phantom chestnuts from Debito before, so they might want to ask him directly.

Scenario 3

Back in the mansion, Nova and Felicita find Debito napping in his office. Unfortunately he doesn’t have any new information to add, other than the fact that phantom chestnut was trending among the ladies in the past. Debito actually got one from Luca, so they should ask him instead for more information. Now that he has answered their questions, Debito is going to resume his nap. Nova gets flustered when Debito mentions that he dreamed about “dealing” with the ladies alone. but despite what Nova was imagining… Debito was just dreaming of literally chasing them. After teasing Nova about this, Debito gives Felicita a few sugar violets. It’s to fix her mood since she’s terribly suspicious of Nova’s naughty imagination LOL.

Scenario 4

From the maid trio, Nova and Felicita find out that Luca is in the forest right now. They find him there in no time since he’s happily talking to a chestnut tree, just like how Jolly talks to the rat in his lab. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ The tree produces normal chestnuts, but upon learning that they’re searching for the phantom chestnuts, Luca asks them to follow him back to the mansion. He then takes a bottle of phantom chestnuts from the kitchen, explaining that they’re taken from the tree in the forest—he just boiled them with sugar water. It appears that the original phantom chestnuts were actually candied chestnuts, and Luca made the same thing after the trend. He assures them that it’s more delicious than the original though, because he’s the one who made it. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Nova and Felicita took a HUGE detour, but now they’re ready to make the best Monte Bianco.

Epilogue

After their victory in Feast★Duello, Nova and Felicita present a Monte Bianco just for Mondo and Sumire. Mondo happily accepts it, but Sumire snatches it away and gives it to Nova and Felicita instead—asking them to share it. Nova asks Felicita to eat it first, but he blushes when she feeds him from her fork instead. (*´艸`*)ァハ♪ Both of them aren’t aware that Liberta, Ash, Debito, Pace and Luca are watching them from the kitchen, complaining and… uh, drooling (in Pace’s case) for all sorts of reasons. Soon enough, Jolly appears in the kitchen with Dante—who’s obviously not happy to see them peeking. They all fall into the dining hall due to the surprise, and Nova decides to use the “One-Day Papa” reward to punish them. For the rest of the day, they will have to patrol and check every nook and cranny of the island. ((*゚Д゚)ゞデシ!

As they go out for patrol, Nova asks if Felicita doesn’t mind him using their reward for this. He thinks that patrols are necessary since there’s a lot of people in Regalo during autumn, but how about her…? When she nods in agreement, he blushes saying he’s happy that they share the same desire to protect Regalo.

DEBITO

Prologue

Debito is napping in the library when Felicita comes with Nova, looking for a recipe that she can use for Feast★Duello. Since Nova is feeling tired, he tells them that he’s going to take a nap in Debito’s place. In return, he gives them a book of sweets and asks them to read it. He falls asleep before they can protest, so they decide to read the book and finds a recipe for Bonet—a delicate chocolate pudding—inside. Felicita then asks if they can use it for Feast★Duello, and Debito agrees since he doesn’t have any recipe ideas to begin with. Or rather, he’s not interested in cooking. They decide to start by searching for the ingredients, and so they leave Nova to snore alone in the library—muttering about cats in his sleep. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪

Scenario 1

To begin their search, Debito decides to look for a certain person who would be 100% useful in gathering ingredients—Pace. They find him near the casino with the member of “Coins”, trying to conduct a weird “research” on whether they can relieve hunger by eating… air… (´・ω・;`) or not. Ignoring this, Debito asks if Pace knows anything about Bonet. Of course he knows that it’s a delicious chocolate pudding, and he tells them the required ingredients: eggs, cocoa powder and amaretti. He happens to have some amaretti with him, and so he hands them to Felicita. He also mentions that there’s an ingredient called “phantom eggs”, which tastes more delicious than regular eggs. Sadly he’s more interested in his “research” for now, so that’s about the only information they can get out of him. When the members of “Coins” start leaving one by one, Pace instantly runs off to capture his “research” subjects—leaving Debito and Felicita to sigh before resuming their search.

Scenario 2

As they walk to the port, Debito says they might need the phantom eggs to win Feast★Duello. They can’t enter the contest arena without the necessary ingredients, not to mention people like Liberta and Dante seem to be so determined to win. Not too long after that, they notice Ash walking nearby… and he seems to be lost. In order to help (?) him, Debito then gives him some advice about how to ask for directions in Regalo—which turns out to be a lesson to hit on the ladies. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ As the payment for the lesson, Debito forces Ash to give them either phantom eggs, cocoa powder or milk for their recipe. Of course Ash protests since he never asked for it, but he ends up giving them some milk anyway. Here, Ash also mentions that he heard Jolly talking to a chicken about the phantom eggs before. Just then they see Federica passing by, and Ash decides to test Debito’s advice on her. Sadly he ends up asking her a stupid question instead of directions, so she just ignores him and leaves. Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒(。A。)アヒャヒャヒャヒャ!!

Scenario 3

When they visit Jolly’s office, Debito and Felicita find him talking to “Garrina”—the chicken Ash told them about earlier. He’s busy trying to figure out the connection between the chicken and the phantom eggs, but he tells them that they can buy the phantom eggs in town. He bought all the phantom eggs they had in stock, but he’s willing to share some with them… except he forgot that he gave the remaining phantom eggs to Liberta. Noticing that Jolly also has some cocoa powder as research material, Debito then forces him to hand it over—because they also need it for their recipe. Jolly drowns in his own world again after that, so Debito and Felicita leave him to look for Liberta. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

Scenario 4

Liberta can’t be found on SS Arcana today, but fortunately they soon find him eating an egg toast in the dining hall. The egg on Liberta’s toast has two yolks, and he gets a nosebleed when Debito mentions that it looks like a woman’s breasts. ゚+.(*ノωヾ*)ャン♪+゚ Just as expected, the egg is actually one of the phantom eggs he received from Jolly—though he didn’t realize that it’s a phantom egg. Liberta then gives them the remaining phantom eggs before going back to savor his egg toast, though his imagination starts going wild when Debito tells him to be careful not to get crushed by those “breasts”. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ As they walk out of the dining hall, Debito says he’s glad the phantom eggs have two yolks. He admits that he actually can’t stand seeing normal eggs because the yolk reminds him of cyclops… and it would remind him of the painful memory of his lost eye. 。゚+(。ノдヽ。)゚+。 Now that they’ve gathered the ingredients, they’re going to make the Bonet. Or rather, Felicita will be the one doing the cooking. Debito will enjoy his time with her instead. ヾ(*・ω・)ノ ルンルン♪

Epilogue

After their victory in Feast★Duello, Felicita makes a Bonet just for Debito. On the other side of the dining hall, everyone (except for Dante, Jolly and Ash) is watching them in envy. Luca is obviously jealous since Felicita and Debito are sitting so close to each other, while the rest of them are drooling over the delicious Bonet. That is, until Dante reminds them that Felicita made it for Debito—not for them. When Debito and Felicita come over to their side, Pace observes the Bonet with great interest… but Debito quickly snatches it away and leaves with Felicita—to a place where they can be alone.

Once they’re alone, Debito wonders what he should do with the “One-Day Papa” reward. He’s thinking of using it to get Ash to become his apprentice, or maybe to throw Jolly onto a swaying ship (because after Vascello Fantasma, we all learned that Jolly gets seasick LOL)… but since Felicita doesn’t like the idea, he says he’ll use it to make her a member of “Coins” for a day. That way she can stay by his side for a whole day, including the time when he takes his naps. They’re going to enjoy their time alone. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

PACE

Prologue

Pace’s scenario opens with him and Felicita eating lasagna together. He remembers that a long time ago, he made a lasagna to stop Debito and Luca from fighting. It was so “delicious” that they asked each other to eat it out of “kindness”, which ended up causing them to fight again. However, Debito and Luca soon appear to stop this misunderstanding from spreading further. They didn’t fight because they wanted to give the lasagna to each other. It was because the lasagna was incredibly nasty. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ Pace feels offended by this, so he asks if Felicita wants to make a lasagna for Feast★Duello. Since Debito and Luca are being so mean to him, he’ll show them through his cooking instead. They leave to search for the ingredients after that, though Debito and Luca have absolutely no faith in him. (○´゚ω゚`):;*.’:;ブッ

Scenario 1

As they walk through the town, Pace suddenly smells something delicious and runs off to track down the source—which turns out to be Luca. He’s carrying a lasagna, but he can’t give it to Pace since he has to deliver it to the mayor’s mansion. He wonders if Pace can deliver it for him, but Pace says that would only be double torture for him. On top of having to visit THAT place, he’s not allowed to eat the lasagna either. When Pace asks Luca about how to make a lasagna, he directs them to see Martha instead—she was the one who made the lasagna in his hands. Pace also not-so-subtly mentions that they’re searching for the ingredients, and so Luca shares some of his lasagne with them. He doesn’t really care about Pace, but he can’t bear to see her troubled. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Scenario 2

When Pace and Felicita enter the mansion’s kitchen, they find Debito there—asking Martha to teach him an easy way to cook. Martha seems impressed when Pace asks her to teach them how to make a lasagna more delicious, but Debito only tells her to try eating Pace’s cooking first and leaves LOL. As the first step, Martha asks Pace to cook some fried eggs… but it turns out super nasty because he puts a HUGE amount of sugar into it. アヒャヒャ。゚(゚ノ∀`。゚(゚ノ∀ヽ゚)゚。´∀ヽ゚)゚。ヒャヒャ From this failure, he learns that in order to make a delicious dish, first they have to understand the preferences of the people who will eat it. Plus, they also have to choose the ingredients carefully. Before they return to their ingredients search, Martha decides to help them by giving a top-quality ground meat for their lasagna. (v´∀`)ハ(´∀`v)ヤッタネ☆

Scenario 3

From there, Pace and Felicita go to the market. They smell the delicious scent of baked cheese, but before they can find the source… Albert appears saying it’s terribly disgraceful for them to drool on the street like that. When Pace explains that they’re going to participate in Feast★Duello, Albert informs them that he’s going to be one of the judges. He’s not expecting anything from Pace though, and he leaves after asking them to make something that won’t give him a stomachache. Despite the harsh insults, Pace thinks this is a good chance for them to apply what Martha taught them earlier. If they figure out Albert’s preferences, they might be able to win Feast★Duello and grow closer to him. Since Pace doesn’t know anything about Albert’s preferences, they decide to visit the intelligence division for more information. From Liberta, they learn that Albert actually loves mushrooms—especially porcini. Before resuming their search, Pace steals the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese that Liberta hid from them. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ

Scenario 4

While there’s a lot of porcini in the market, Pace thinks they have to use a really delicious one to make a lasagna for Albert. Here, Jolly appears out of the blue and tells them about the “phantom porcini” which they can get in the forest. It’s a very rare mushroom, believed to appear once every 100 years. He also tags along when they go to the forest, and he takes all the normal mushrooms they find there—clearly using Pace to gather mushrooms for himself. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ However, Jolly also explains that the phantom porcini are really timid. They turn invisible whenever they sense humans nearby, and they might have to turn into a porcini in order to capture it… so Pace takes this advice and pulls out his beloved porcini costume LOL. A bunch of mushrooms later, Jolly advises them to understand how a porcini would feel. This time Pace follows the advice by hypnotizing himself to turn into a porcini, and as unbelievable as it may sound… it really leads him to find the phantom porcini under the shades of trees. Σ(゚ー゚;) Now that they’ve found the phantom porcini, Pace is 100% certain and Felicita and him will win in Feast★Duello.

Epilogue

Following their victory in Feast★Duello, Pace asks Debito and Luca to admit defeat to his lasagna. Albert also comes to congratulate them, and he admits that the lasagna was good. It was much better than he expected, especially the rich taste and the scent of the mushroom cream sauce. When Pace explains that they used the phantom porcini, Albert reveals that he actually knows about it since he loves porcini a lot. The phantom porcini are uncommon, but they’re not THAT rare… which means that Jolly lied to them about it growing once every 100 years. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ In any case, Pace is willing to make more lasagna for Albert if he wants to eat it again.

As for the “One-Day Papa” reward, Pace decided to use it to have a lasagna tour with Felicita. For one full day, they’re going to eat lasagna for free in ALL restaurants in Regalo. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Pace asks them not to worry since he won’t eat Felicita along the way, though it only makes him look dangerous in their eyes. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ Pace and Felicita then leave on their lasagna tour, promising to return in time for dinner.

LUCA

Prologue

When Felicita goes to see Luca in the kitchen, she finds him discussing with Martha regarding their entry for Feast★Duello. He thinks they should go for his trademark lemon pie, but Martha thinks it’s too normal and lacks impact—just like him as a person LOL. In order to get rid of that “normal” image, Luca changes his mind and decides to go for something else. Since he can only think of desserts, Martha then suggests cooking something completely different: Regalo Pot with miso. The taste will be very different, since miso originally comes from Japan. Sadly Martha doesn’t have any miso right now, but Luca doesn’t mind—he will gather the ingredients with Felicita. Before they leave, Martha realizes that Luca actually does have a unique characteristic. His love for Felicita is unrivaled, and that stalker-like behavior of his is certainly not normal. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ

Scenario 1

From a book in Luca’s lab, Felicita and him learn more information about miso. Since miso is made from soybeans, it should be perfect for Regalo Pot because beans and seafood complement each other really well. In order to learn more about Regalo Pot, Luca and Felicita decide to see Dante at the port… but they soon hear Nova singing “Hymn of the Men of Sea” in the garden. When they ask what he’s doing, Nova explains that he’s searching for some milk. Liberta told him that he can gather cows by singing the “farm version” of the song, but it’s clearly a lie no matter how they look at it. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ Before running off to kill Liberta, Nova gives them some scallops for their Regalo Pot. It’s a token of gratitude for telling him about Liberta’s lie LOL.

Scenario 2

When Luca and Felicita come to his cabin, Dante welcomes them with a super lame joke. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ Luca explains that they’re going to make Regalo Pot for Feast★Duello, and he asks if Dante knows anything about miso. Dante tells them that there’s a shop in town that sells foreign spices, and it has several kinds of miso as well. Speaking of which, Dante recalls that there’s an ingredient called the “phantom miso”. It’s more rare and can’t be found in normal shops, but it’s also much more delicious than regular miso. Pace loved it too, so much that he kept asking for seconds. Dante says they might be able to find it in the shop if they’re lucky enough, and they decide to pay the shop a visit. Before they leave, Dante gives them some large shrimps for their Regalo Pot. The shrimps are still alive, but Felicita bravely grabs and carries them with her—leaving Luca with no chance to show his reliable side. (○´゚ω゚`):;*.’:;ブッ

Scenario 3

Unfortunately, the phantom miso is out of stock in the shop. The owner mentions that it always get sold out in no time recently, and they can’t do anything about it since it’s a rare item. Upon leaving the shop, Luca and Felicita run into the member of “Swords”—who are all blaming Luca for making Felicita look so sad. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ After picking on Luca for a while, they mention that they saw “phantom miso” written on a restaurant’s sign. It seems like the restaurant is using the “phantom miso” to make lasagna, and so that’s where they should be going next. Completely ignoring Luca, they give Felicita some leek for their Regalo Pot. Poor Luca. アヒャヒャ。゚(゚ノ∀`。゚(゚ノ∀ヽ゚)゚。´∀ヽ゚)゚。ヒャヒャ

Scenario 4

In front of the restaurant, Luca and Felicita see “Japanese-style Lasagna with phantom miso” written on the sign. They go inside hoping the restaurant’s staff will be willing to share, but instead… they find Pace devouring a large amount of Japanese-style lasagna inside. Soon the staff comes to apologize since they run out of ingredients to make 20 more lasagna for Pace, and the one he’s eating now is the last lasagna they can make—which means there’s nothing left for Luca and Felicita. However, Pace then reveals that he actually has a pack of “phantom miso” with him. He bought it because he was planning to get Luca to cook Japanese-style lasagna for him. By this point Luca is ready to explode from the stress, so he just pins all the blame on Pace—who’s actually not entirely guilty. Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒(。A。)アヒャヒャヒャヒャ!! Pace runs away in fear after that, but now at Luca and Felicita finally got the phantom miso for their Regalo Pot. If they have some leftover miso, they’re going to use it to make a Japanese-style lasagna for Pace.

Epilogue

After Feast★Duello, Debito and Pace find it hard to believe that Luca wins since he’s just so… normal, but they conclude that it must be Felicita who brought him towards victory. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ The others soon join in to celebrate their victory, and they serve their Japanese-style Regalo Pot for everyone. Sumire thinks miso goes really well with Regalo Pot, but she has another Japanese spice that would complement the dish. It’s a certain yellow spice. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ Luca senses danger from Sumire’s smile, but he obediently puts the spice into his pot… and he explodes with doves flying out of his hat, because the spice is actually mustard LOL.

Back in Felicita’s office, Luca is wondering what they should do about the “One-Day Papa” reward. Both of them has no idea what to use the reward for. When Felicita asks if there’s anything Luca wants to do, he says that he only has small wishes like doing research all day or trying out new recipes. He also wants to spend one full day with her, but it’s not necessary to use the reward for that. In the end, they decide to return the Papa right to Mondo and go out together the next day. He asks if she wants to wear the new autumn clothes he made for her, and he’s going to prepare their lunch box as well. Tomorrow, the two of them are going to enjoy a “normal” day off together. ワ―゚.+:。ヾ(o・ω・)ノ゚.+:。―イ

DANTE

Prologue

In order to choose a menu for Feast★Duello, Dante calls Felicita to come to his cabin. Since she’s still not sure about their entry, he then suggests making fish cuisine for the contest. He has a lot of ideas in mind, but in the end they decided to go with aqua pazza—the dish they ate at Sabine’s restaurant before. They can make the dish just by catching the fish, but first they should gather information in town. Aside from checking up on the others, they can also get some of the ingredients in the market. As soon as they leave the cabin, they find Liberta eavesdropping with Orso and Nino outside. After assigning Orso and Nino to guard the ship in his absence, Dante gives Liberta a “special mission” to clean the deck. It’s a punishment since he was the one who had the idea of eavesdropping. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Scenario 1

Dante and Felicita’s first destination is Sabine’s restaurant. They want to ask about what ingredients she would recommend, but sadly the restaurant is closed for today. Just as they’re about to move to another location, they run into Luca—who’s also searching for ingredients—on the street. Dante then asks if Luca has any recommendations for aqua pazza in this season. Luca refuses right away since they’re opponents in Feast★Duello, but his refusal also confirms that he does have an ingredient in mind. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ In order to get the information out of him, Dante points out that Felicita wants to know it too. Unable to resist her eyes, Luca gives in and says that he’d recommend the “phantom black snapper”. Despite its large size, the fish tastes light and is easy to digest. Before leaving, Luca shares some of the clams in his bag with them. The clams actually for Martha though, so he asks them to keep it a secret from her.

Scenario 2

While the phantom black snapper lives in the southern seas, Dante and Felicita decide to try fishing it from Regalo’s beach. Something bites her lure after a while, and she reels it in to find an octopus. They’re supposed to be uncommon, but Dante and Felicita keep on catching octopi after that. In fact, they catch NOTHING but octopi. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ Soon enough, Jolly appears and asks them to hand those octopi to him. They belong to him, because every single octopus in this area is his research material LOL. In return, Jolly gives them some dried tomatoes. He tells them it’s a token of gratitude, but the real reason is because he doesn’t need dried tomatoes. For him, octopi are more valuable. ヾ(o´∀`o)ノワァーィ♪

Scenario 3

After their failure to fish the phantom black snapper, Dante and Felicita go to check the market—hoping to find it on sale. Unfortunately, none of the fishmongers has the phantom black snapper. Some of them have never heard of it, and the rest only have normal snappers. Just then they run into Pace, who’s on his daily gourmet tour. He has sauce around his mouth, but this time it’s not from lasagna… because he can only find octopus dishes in every restaurant. Or rather, the town itself is full of octopi. There’s a mountain of octopi too in the market. Σ(゚ー゚;) When Dante mentions that they’re planning to make an aqua pazza for Feast★Duello, Pace gives them a bottle of white wine. He received it as a reward for eating 30 plates of marinated octopus, and he recommends the challenge to them because it’s “easy”… though he’s probably the only one who thinks that way. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ

Scenario 4

Since they can’t get the phantom black snapper in stores, Dante and Felicita have no choice but to fish it themselves. When they return to the beach, they find Liberta staring at the sea—which has turned black due to a large number of octopi gathering underwater. Just like earlier, all they can catch is octopi… but they refuse to give up until they can catch the phantom black snapper. Or at least something other than octopi. After fishing a mountain of octopi, Dante finally manages to fish up a large fish that turns out to be the phantom black snapper. The next moment, Jolly suddenly appears to get all the octopi they fished earlier—thanking them for catching enough octopi for his research. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Jolly also explains that this year’s autumn has lower temperature than usual, and that’s why the octopi are gathering at Regalo’s beach. Dante doesn’t get why the phantom black snapper also came to Regalo, but Jolly only says that it was lured by the octopi. Dante has the suspicion that he might have done something to the sea, but Jolly only leaves without further explanation. In the end Dante and Felicita caught the phantom black snapper though, so it’s all good. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

Epilogue

After their victory in Feast★Duello, Dante and Felicita celebrate their victory with everyone—including the members of the intelligence division. Their aqua pazza was truly the best, but Dante says that the trump card that led them to victory was Felicita’s smile. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ Everyone is watching in silence as Dante flirts with Felicita so openly. Liberta quietly comments that Dante looks like Debito right now, but Debito says it means Dante is a Regalo’s man too. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

As for the “One-Day Papa” reward, Dante and Felicita decide to use it to feature Feast★Duello in Guida Regalo. It’s an important event to improve tourism, and people will be able to see the beauty of autumn in Regalo as well. Dante can actually do this simply by using his position as the Executive Head of Arcana Famiglia. It just never crossed his mind LOL. Since everyone has a bunch of ideas for Guida Regalo, Dante then asks Felicita to choose a topic that she likes for the featured articles.

JOLLY

Prologue

A few days after Mondo announced Feast★Duello, Jolly is locking himself up in his lab as usual. Felicita pays him a visit since they’re partners, but he’s clearly not interested in cooking. Jolly knows that Mondo only wants to eat Felicita’s cooking anyway, and he’s also busy with research right now. However, Elmo soon comes saying he wants to meet a demon’s underling. A man in town told him about the “phantom octopus” they can find in the sea, which is believed to be the underling of a demon. He also heard that its eyes would glow in the dark, and now he really wants to see it. Knowing that Elmo wouldn’t give up, Jolly has no choice but to find the phantom octopus for him. Besides, it’s a good timing for Felicita and him to catch their Feast★Duello ingredient. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Scenario 1

Since they can only catch octopi from the beach, Jolly takes Felicita to the port. The problem is how they are going to catch the phantom octopus, since they just can’t dive into the cold autumn sea. Jolly doesn’t want to sail on a ship either, so he decides to ask Dante for more information. From Dante, they learn that the phantom octopus is known as a “demon” due to its black color… but it turns vivid red like a gem once they boil it. The taste is undoubtedly top-class, and they should be able to catch one from the sea around Regalo. Jolly instantly refuses when Dante offers to use SS Arcana for them, but it’s too late—the ship has sailed away from the port. Even though they’re still near the island, Jolly quickly gets seasick and orders Dante to return them to land immediately. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ Before taking them back to Regalo, Dante also gives them some capers. They can use it to make any dish they want.

Scenario 2

Back at the port, Jolly and Felicita find Ash roaring at the sea—trying to get some fish for Feast★Duello. Debito told him that using his tiger roar is a good way to gather fish, and that’s why he’s been roaring at the sea like a fool. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ While he seems proud of his tiger form, the poor thing hasn’t caught anything so far. When Jolly asks him to keep on roaring and call the phantom octopus over, Ash really roars towards the sea repeatedly—until Jolly laughs at him. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ Jolly eventually says that it’s enough entertainment for the day, so Ash can stop roaring now. They’re going to search for the phantom octopus themselves. Jolly thinks Debito would only laugh if Ash keeps on roaring though, and that’s when Ash finally realizes that he’s been deceived LOL. As a token of gratitude for telling him about Debito’s lie, he gives them some garlic and mentions that a certain kid also asked him about the phantom octopus at the market. The kid is really pale with dark hair, and it doesn’t take long until they realize that he’s talking about Elmo.

Scenario 3

From there, Jolly takes Felicita to search for Elmo at the market. While they’re looking at some lemons on a stall, Luca suddenly appears with a lemon pie for Felicita. He heard her stomach grumbling, and he flew over just for her. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ When Jolly asks if he knows anything about the phantom octopus, Luca takes them to get some information from a store that sells a mountain of octopi. The owner gets terrified when Jolly asks him to bring out the phantom octopus, and he gives them a black octopus before fleeing in fear. Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒(。A。)アヒャヒャヒャヒャ!! They’re not sure if it’s really the phantom octopus, but they can ask Elmo directly once they find him. Before they leave, Luca gives Felicita some fresh lemons for her Feast★Duello entry. He doesn’t care about Jolly, but he’s always cheering her on. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

Scenario 4

Since Jolly knows Elmo’s action patterns, Felicita and him finally find the boy at the port. When they ask if he met the man who told him about the phantom octopus, Elmo says he never saw the man again ever since. Jolly knows who it is though, and so he takes Elmo to see this suspicious man… who turns out to be Debito LOL. First, Jolly sends Elmo to approach Debito alone. When Elmo tells him that he can’t find the phantom octopus anywhere, Debito says that he should be able to find one in the market. It pretty much confirms that Debito is the source of the rumor, so Jolly comes out with Felicita to ask if the black octopus they have is the phantom octopus—shoving it to Debito’s face at the same time LOL. Pissed off by Jolly, Debito says that it’s indeed the phantom octopus. Since it’s so black and scary, he thinks it’s perfect for a demon like Jolly. ヾ(o´∀`o)ノワァーィ♪ Looking at all the ingredients they have, Felicita then suggests cooking marinated octopus for Feast★Duello. If it tastes bad, Jolly will just use it for his research. ヾ(✿❛◡❛ฺฺ)ノ

Epilogue

After their victory in Feast★Duello, Felicita asks what Jolly wants to do with the “One-Day Papa” reward. He doesn’t want to use it for anything since having a high position is only troublesome for him, but since she looks sad… they end up using the reward to hold a dinner party for Mondo and Sumire. Felicita also invites everyone else, and Jolly helps serving their marinated octopus for them. However, everyone starts talking like animals upon eating the dish. Mondo says “gao” at the end of each line, Nova meows like a cat, while Pace and Liberta are barking like dogs. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ When Mondo protests, Jolly explains that he mixed his special potion into their marinated octopus. They don’t have to worry since it’s not dangerous, and he takes Felicita away before Mondo is done complaining LOL.

Once they’re alone, Felicita asks why Jolly did something like that. He says he’s not happy that they have to serve their marinated octopus for everyone, but more than anything else… he doesn’t want them to eat her cooking. He wants to be the first person to eat it. イヤン☆(*´∀`)σ)))))*3゚),・´.、 Now they’re going to have another dinner party, but this time it’s just for the two of them.

ASH

Prologue

Ash’s scenario starts with him and Felicita walking around the market, looking for ingredients they can use in Feast★Duello. There’s a lot of delicious fruits for sale in autumn, and he gets excited upon seeing mountains of apples in crates. If they have that much apples, they can make torta di mele—baked apple pie—as much as they want. Since Ash mentions that he ate one with his father a long time ago, Felicita then suggests making it for their Feast★Duello entry. Being a huge fan of apple that he is, of course Ash agrees right away. As he buys an apple for Felicita, he asks the owner to give them a super delicious one as well. The owner tells them that if they’re looking for a delicious one, there’s the “phantom apple” that tastes much more delicious than regular apples. It glows with golden light, and it’s sold outside of Regalo as expensive golden apples. Ash and Felicita then decide to pay Dante a visit, hoping to learn more about the phantom apple.

Scenario 1

Dante isn’t around when Ash and Felicita comes into his cabin, but he suddenly appears from under the table before they leave—greeting them with a little “humor”. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ When Ash asks if he knows about the phantom apple, Dante explains that it’s known as the fruit of knowledge outside of Regalo. It’s being sold at an absurdly expensive price, and the number of people who are seeking for it is endless. Ash then mentions that they need one for Feast★Duello, and Dante directs them to see Jolly instead. After all, Jolly is the best person to go to when it comes to knowledge. Before they leave, Dante also gives Felicita some fresh eggs for their recipe.

Scenario 2

Since they can’t find Jolly in his office, Ash and Felicita go to gather information in the library instead… and that’s where they find him. Or rather, he just came out from between the bookshelves LOL. When Ash asks him about the phantom apple, Jolly reveals that he does know about the fruit. He warns them that it’s dangerous though, because a ripe phantom apple releases poison into the air… except not really. He’s just trolling them. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ Of course Ash rages at him, but he only hands some walnuts to them—saying they’re good to reduce stress and fatigue. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Before Ash can scream further, Jolly mentions that someone seems to have planted the sapling of the phantom apple tree in the forest… and so that marks their next destination.

Scenario 3

When they arrive at the forest, Ash and Felicita find Nova there—trying to reach chestnuts on a tree. He can’t reach them even after jumping, and he’s about to cut down the tree in desperation… until Ash tells him to think about it more calmly. Chestnuts fall off the tree once they’re ripe, so he should pick the ones on the ground instead. The ones he’s been trying to reach are still unripe anyway. (○´゚ω゚`):;*.’:;ブッ As a token of gratitude, Nova then gives them some flour. When Ash mentions that they’re searching for the phantom apple, Nova remembers that he heard about it from Pace before. It seems that Debito showed the phantom apple to his casino customer before, and that’s where they should be going next.

Scenario 4

Ash and Felicita find Debito in front of his casino, showing the phantom apple to the maid trio. He asks them to cook something with the phantom apple, but Ash quickly asks him to hand it over. Since this is Debito they’re dealing with, of course he doesn’t want to give the phantom apple to a man… and so Ash offers equivalent trade. Debito accepts the idea, and he asks Ash to do a coin toss with him. If Ash wins, they can have the phantom apple. If he loses though, Debito will take Felicita from him. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ Luckily Ash wins the bet, and so Debito throws the phantom apple at him. He says the phantom apple probably suits Ash, as an alchemist who’s always searching for knowledge. As they walk back to the mansion, Ash promises Felicita that he’ll make the phantom apple more delicious with alchemy—putting his knowledge to a good use. (人´∀`)☆゜’・:*

Epilogue

After winning Feast★Duello, Ash feels happy that he got to enjoy such a nostalgic taste. For him, torta di mele is filled with memories of his late father. At first he thought that Feast★Duello is just a game, but he actually enjoyed it thanks to Felicita. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ As equivalent trade, Ash then gives the “One-Day Papa” reward to Felicita. He was thinking of using it to get a revenge on Jolly, but he decided to save it for next time. However, Felicita doesn’t know what to use the reward for. She finally decides to return the right to Mondo, who cries and desperately begs her to think it over. He says she can use it to play with him all day or ask him to go out with her, but she just runs away from him. Ash doesn’t need the right either, because Felicita’s sweets are much more valuable to him. Poor Mondo. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ

As they leave Mondo to drown in tears, Ash invites Felicita to eat torta di mele together. He tells her that she still needs more practice though. They won Feast★Duello because they used high-quality ingredients, but his father’s torta di mele was much better. Felicita gets upset and throws a knife at him, but after she walks away in anger… Ash grins saying he actually loves her torta di mele.

There’s nothing much to say, is there? (´・∀・`;)ゞ While the events are short, it might take a while to get all the necessary ingredients for the recipes—especially if you’re looking for the high-quality ones. It’s much easier if you’re collecting the VS scenario though, since the ingredients will pile up on their own as you go on. The chibi sprites are cute, the recipes look delicious and the cooking part is fun. It might be a light cooking game, but Festa Regalo makes a nice addition to the Arcana Famiglia series. ヾ(´∀`○)ノイェーイ♪

  1. I played this game a few months ago and, even if it doesn’t add anything to the story, it’s still really cute and funny. The epic quests to find the phantom ingredients really cracked me up… and I’m not sure if it’s a good thing, since I was playing it on the bus and everyone saw me giggling by myself like an idiot. But oh, well, who cares. I’m biased toward Arcana Famiglia and as long as it keeps being so funny, this won’t change. I still have to get used to them messing up my language, but that’s funny in it’s own way, too… especially the weird names! I doubt any sane Italian parents would call their son “Debito”! ^_^ Not to mention when they give male names to female characters!
Well, thanks for the review, as always! It’s good to see my favourite characters again while I wait for Arcana Famiglia 2!

    • Which ones of the ladies have male names? xD
Yeah, I heard the Itarian in Arcana Famiglia is pretty bad LOL. The characters have great chemistry with each other, and I guess that’s why the comedy never ends. Looks like they’re going to explore a new area (Nordia) in Arcana Famiglia 2, so looking forward to what kind of story we’re going to see next. /o/

  2. There aren’t many, since the only really important female characters are Felicità and Sumire. But I remember Nova’s mother is called Nicola in the game… and Nicola is a male name ONLY! Every time they mentioned her name, I couldn’t help but thinking that she was called like my grandfather! XD Also, they don’t seem to realize that Joshua is not an Italian name, nor it’s common around here. Yet, they keep throwing it in every game set in Italy I can remember. Well, it’s not like I’m expecting them to use perfect Italian in a Japanese game. Also, at least the atmosphere was somewhat similar to that of Italian small villages, even if in a stereotyped kind of way. I can see that at least they tried. I remember that in Death Connection it was TERRIBLE. But hey, it’s still fun to see what other nations think about us… even if they somewhat make it seem like Italians are all member of the mafia, and do nothing but going around and eat lasagna! XD
Anyway, I’m really curious about the deal with Nordia and I get the feeling that I’m going to like the new characters. But what I’m really looking forward to is more time with Ash. He got less screentime than the others and I want to see more! And I’m hoping Dante will magically look twenty years younger. Maybe Jolly could use him as a guinea pig for his potions?

    • LOL is the female version supposed to be Nicoletta? xD
Yeah, I noticed that both Arcana Famiglia and Death Connection have “Joshua”. It’s a common name here, so I thought they just picked a name that’s well-known around the world… but it’s not common over there in Italy? ∑(-∀-;) While Death Connection really focused on mafia / gang wars, I think the concept is much tamer in Arcana Famiglia. Rather than mafia, they’re more like a government organization that supports the island LOL. I think Pace is the only one who runs around eating lasagna though, since everyone else are doing their jobs properly. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ

I know what you mean about Ash. He’s such a charming character, and he looks a bit more mature after the time skip in Arcana Famiglia 2. Looking at everyone’s ages, it seems like the game will take place a few months (a year at most) after Festa Regalo. They feature both the normal Dante and younger Dante in the official site, so I wonder what caused him to switch appearance. Maybe it’s really Jolly’s potions, since he seems to produce good-looking guys everywhere he goes. *looks at Luca and Elmo*

      • That’s right! Nicoletta would be the correct one.
And no, Joshua is not exactly a popular name here. It’s not like it’s not known, and I don’t doubt that there might be a Joshua or two somewhere, but I wouldn’t call it common. Popular foreign names around here are Ivan, Christian and Nicholas. Female names are Jessica, Sharon or Nicole. I even know of two kids called Ridge and Brooke! But honestly, I’ve never known or heard of a Joshua here, so I was surprised when I saw it in two games in a row!
Yeah, I know that in Arcana Famiglia they aren’t criminals, but the fact that in two games set in Italy they chose the mafia theme for both makes me wonder.

The fact that they keep both pictures is what scares me! I like Dante as a character, and I would like to enjoy his route for once! Until now, whenever I was in his route, I was a little grossed out by how much older he looks compared to Felicità. I usually don’t mind age gaps, but the thing with Dante is just… I don’t know. Jolly needs to do something about it. Even if it would be ironic if he looked younger, but started talking like a pig as a side effect.

        • Ooh, I see. “Nicola” is a female name here even though it’s not common, so maybe they didn’t have enough resources. Thanks for the information! I never knew that Joshua is actually uncommon over there. No wonder you’re surprised to see that name in both Arcana Famiglia and Death Connection. xD I heard the portrayals of USA in otome games aren’t exactly accurate either, but it’s still interesting to see what they think of other countries. I’m kind of curious about how Rejet will portray New York in Tiny×Machinegun now.

LOL I think appearance plays an important part when it comes to age gaps, because not everyone feels comfortable with seeing a teenage girl with bearded old men. In the dialogue Dante asks if Felicita prefers the younger version of him though, so maybe the change takes place in the middle of the story. /o/

  3. This game was really fun to play. And same as always Jolly and Debito were the best, I think. but seeing everyone in chibi forms was funny. all of them were sooooo cute, even Jolly and Papa. and thanks for the hard work!

    • Yeah, the ingredient gathering part can be a bit tedious at times, but not so much that it takes the fun out of the game. I wonder if they’re going to make more spin-offs for Arcana Famiglia, especially since we have new characters in the making. Thanks for reading too!
