Dot Kareshi -We’re 8bit Lovers!- II

As you can see, I haven’t posted any summaries recently because work, RPG backlog and endless editing are burying me alive. Luckily Dot Kareshi II came out not too long ago, and it’s always relaxing to do a short but fun game.

ドットカレシ -We're 8bit Lovers!- Ⅱ ~てんくうのキス~

Remember those days. You used to be a gamer who poured your entire youth into gaming. You used to stay up all night to raise your level, so much that your sleeping schedule got screwed and reversed… but those days are long gone. Your current life has nothing to do with games anymore. However, it only lasts until a mysterious power sends you on a trip to the game world. In Dot Kareshi Ⅱ: Tenkuu no Kiss, you land in front of Knight, Dancer, Beastmaster and Monk.

Note: The heroine has no name. It’s literally “you”, so that’s what I’m going with.

God Appears

It all begins when you open your eyes in a different, golden dimension, with a man’s voice calling out to you. He keeps telling you to look his way, but you’re confused because you can’t see him—only his voice is heard. When you point this out, he tells you not to mind the trivial things so much. He accidentally lets out that the “budget” doesn’t allow him to appear, but quickly covers it up by saying things are tough for adults. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ After apologizing for surprising you, the voice introduces himself as the god who controls this world. You’re confused and misheard “god” as “mold”, but he decides to move on. If he keeps showing you the background of the dimension forever, he’ll only get scolded by his superior.

The god then tells you that you’re currently inside “Unlimited Quest”. As unbelievable as it may sound, you have been drawn into the game’s world. Besides, this is all your fault to begin with. It’s your play style that caused “them” to turn that way. Since you seem confused, he gives you a brief flashback to remind you of who “they” are:

  • Knight
The one who protects you with his sword.

  • Dancer
The one who can restore HP and MP with his dance.

  • Monk
The one who can destroy enemies with his trained physique.

  • Beastmaster
The one who can turn any monsters into friends.

They are characters from the game you used to be addicted to. Sadly, you left the game before finishing it and never returned—causing them to lose their way. The way they yearn for you looked so miserable, and so the god decided to save them by summoning you here… or not. It’s just a story he made up to cover up the fact that a bug has absorbed you into the game. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Luckily, the players who got absorbed will be able to return home after granting the characters’ wishes. This also allows the god to come up with an excuse that it’s not a bug, but a part of the game to make it more real. If they get any complaints, they can congratulate the players for reaching a “super rare bonus stage” instead. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ The god asks you to keep this a secret though, because… uh, things are tough for adults. Right.

Before sending you away, the god also gives you a hint that the characters have turned complicated in a lot of ways. They’re no longer the characters you used to know. Even so, this is the world inside the game you used to love… so you should enjoy it.

Reunion with Him

After a blinding flash of light, you land in front of the men you just saw earlier. Knight is amazed that the “divine message” from their dreams really came true, and Monk is happy that their wish has been granted. On the other hand, Beastmaster has a suspicion that you might be a monster in disguise. Dancer doesn’t think so though, and he comes over to touch you—confirming that you feel like a human. Especially your chest. It’s nearly flat, and he thinks it’s impossible for a monster to make something like that. Σ(-∀-;) You squeal in a flirty manner when dancer touches your chest, and liking your playful response… he continues to grope you even more LOL. In any case, he confirms that you’re really the girl they wanted to see. Knight agrees saying you were sent by the god after all. There’s no way you can be a fake.

Beastmaster points out that you still look in doubt though, as if you’re wondering if this is only a dream. Knight knows it might be impossible to believe it right away, but this is reality—not a dream. You’re really inside the game. As the proof, Dancer asks you to touch him and feel how real the sensation is. Jealous of dancer, Monk then decides to do the same thing… by fondling your chest. Σ(‘◉⌓◉’) The shock causes you to punch him, and Knight stares in awe as you knock the muscle idiot trained fighter out in one blow. Just as expected from their master. You might look fragile, but actually has unlimited strength! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ You answer that you can get things done when necessary, and Knight almost answers that he’s jealous of Monk… but quickly corrects it to “you’re reliable” LOL.

Monk doesn’t understand why Dancer is allowed to touch you while he gets punched, but Dancer says it’s probably because Monk isn’t as nice as he is—not to mention Monk also looks like a pervert. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ Upon hearing this, Beastmaster frown saying that’s definitely not the reason. Dancer was the one who got touched by you, and no matter how they look at it, it’s Monk’s own fault for groping you. Dancer replies by asking Beastmaster not to get jealous, and Beastmaster angrily asks if Dancer was listening at all—or is his brain melting away due to too much dancing? Dancer simply says that difficult side of Beastmaster is childish, but Knight quickly stops them from arguing. Unfortunately, Beastmaster calls him an old man and tells him to shut up. This REALLY shocks him, and he asks them not to call him like that—because it’ll destroy his image as a knight. He also claims that he’s still young, and his skin is smooth enough to repel the water when he’s showering. ✿*,(*´◕ω◕`*)+✿.* That doesn’t change the fact that he’s much older than Beastmaster though, so he can’t get rid of the “old man” nickname.

As Knight sadly flops to the ground, Dancer notes that their main attackers are both down due to “status ailments” LOL. They’ll be in danger if a monster appears to attack them. Noticing that you look confused, Beastmaster sighs saying it’s your fault that they turned like this. When you ask him to explain the reason, he grins and says you do have the duty of listening to them. After all, they got so warped because of your irresponsible play style. Beastmaster explains that you didn’t want to replay, and yet you got so absorbed into defeating weak enemies. You also raised the party HP by a LOT, but completely ignored their quests and sub-events. You forced your way through while skipping all the troublesome parts—not caring about anything other than raising their level. Their properties and attributes were completely out of your field of view. ゚.+:。ヾ(o・ω・)ノ゚.+:。

Monk also mentions that you never fixed their weaknesses either, and instead sent them to do all sorts of reckless things. Knight adds that they’re supposed to use certain items to defeat enemies with high magic defense, but you didn’t even allow them to do that much. The same goes for your defense method against offensive magic. Dance nods saying you never put up the defense field barrier, and you clearly didn’t care about their HP at all as they got hit by the enemies’ spells. 三ヾ(*´ω`)ノ゙ ウッヒョヒョ♪ As the result, their stats are now terribly unbalanced. It’s only natural that they got warped after going through all of this torture LOL.

Noticing that you’re about to cry, Knight asks you not to look so sad. They’re not doing this to blame you, because they only want to start over with you. Beastmaster denies this since he’s totally blaming you, but Dancer says what’s done is done—they can’t do anything about it. Rather than looking back at the past, he’s more interested in having fun from now on. Monk agrees and asks you to let him fondle your chest, which you answer by giving him another punch. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Beastmaster thinks everyone is being too lenient on you, but Knight points out that you came to see them from a faraway world. That fact alone is already enough to make him happy. Monk nods saying he’s always wanted to see you, up to the point of wetting his pillow with tears at night. Σ(p´;Д;`)q

Monk tries using this chance to touch your boobs again, but this time Knight immediately charges over to attack him—telling him not to use such an obscene word in front of a lady. Why yes, it’s because he said “boobs” instead of “chest” LOL. Beastmaster doesn’t get the difference because it doesn’t change Monk’s wish to grope them, but Dancer says it’s probably a matter of Knight’s standards. Beastmaster also asks if Monk is a “lump of worldly desires” since he clearly doesn’t know when to give up, and Dancer says that’s because he’s endlessly frustrated. In a lot of ways. (o´艸`o)ァハ♪ You panic upon seeing blood coming out of Monk’s head and nose, but Dancer tells you not to worry. Their HP are uselessly high, so they won’t die just because of this. Beastmaster thinks the nosebleed has a completely different reason though, because Monk is a pervert like that. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ

After he’s done dealing with Monk, Knight clears his throat and asks if you’re going to travel with them. You seem to be troubled, but Beastmaster points out that you have no choice in this situation. If you stay alone in a place like this, you’ll become a monster feed in no time. Since you’re inside the game, you’re no longer in the position of a bystander. Dancer happily shakes your hand, Beastmaster says you’ll have to pay back for your crimes as you travel with them, while Monk crawls over saying he’ll touch your boobs one day. (○´゚ω゚`):;*.’:;ブッ Knight looks taken aback upon seeing HUGE streams of blood dripping out of Monk’s nose, and Dancer asks if he wants to plug his nose with herbs to stop the bleeding. Beastmaster mentions that people can also stop nosebleed by tapping the back of one’s neck, so he sends his beloved pet penguin—Leonardo Pitt Johnny Damon—to use drop kick on Monk’s nape. Dancer stops him though. It’s a vital spot, and Monk will ascend to the heavens (in other words, death) if they do that LOL.

Monk finds the idea of “ascension” sweet, but Beastmaster isn’t happy by how the game is only real when it comes to these things. アヒャヒャ。゚(゚ノ∀`。゚(゚ノ∀ヽ゚)゚。´∀ヽ゚)゚。ヒャヒャ However, Knight is more bothered by the super long name of Beastmaster’s penguin. Beastmaster replies that if he’s got any complains, he should send them to the person who came up with that name—YOU. Due to the length, even Beastmaster himself finds it hard to pronounce each time. Apparently the game gives you 50 character limit for names, so you got carried away. ゚+.(*ノωヾ*)ャン♪+゚ However, Monk points out that you left them with the default names. The other three are shocked upon realizing this, but the one who takes the greatest damage is Knight. He gets really bitter that you gave the penguin a better name, and since it’s hurting his pride… he decides to change its name to “Pe”. Short and simple. Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒(。A。)アヒャヒャヒャヒャ!!

You find it such a waste that they changed the wonderful name, but Beastmaster says this is exactly why they got warped—it’s because you never think things through. Dancer and Monk can see that you really feel bad though, so they ask him to forgive you. Now that the penguin’s name has been changed, Knight asks the party to compromise with you from here on. Of course they can’t really rename the penguin, so it will only be a nickname. Dancer is surprised by how fast Knight recovers from his shock, but then again… Knight has experienced a lot of dreadful battles. This is nothing much. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ In that sense, your effort to raise their HP isn’t meaningless. Monk and Knight perform better in physical combat than magic after all, so maybe they should feel grateful to you. Beastmaster thinks they’re being overly positive, but Dancer says it’s better to be optimistic in life. Besides, they’re all happy to see you.

To start off their adventure with you, the party decides to take the quests you ignored. Dancer wants to perform a dance to celebrate their new journey, but Beastmaster stops him because they have to travel to town in order to take the quests. They’ll need to buy equipments for you as well, so they shouldn’t waste any time here. Dancer is a bit disappointed, but since they’re clearly not going to wait for him, he has no choice but to save it for later. Next time, he wants you to dance with him too. ヾ(✿❛◡❛ฺฺ)ノ~❤

Equipment and PT

Upon reaching the town, Knight suggests heading to the tool shop and buy your equipments first. Since you didn’t upgrade their equipments properly, the party actually has a LOT of money. This causes you to feel really bad, but Beastmaster cracks his whip at you—saying it’s too late to feel sorry now. Both Monk and Dancer ask you not to mind Beastmaster though, since it all happened in the past anyway. They look happy when you smile at them, while Beastmaster only scoffs and looks away. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ Knight also says that in a way, they’re lucky to have so much cash. That way they’ll be able to buy a full plate mail for you, but this idea gets rejected by everyone else—including you. Dancer says it’s just lame to equip a full plate armor on a girl, and Beastmaster adds that you’re also the only girl in the party. There’s no way they’d let you wear such heavy armor.

Since Knight argues that it’s for your defense, Dancer then decides to ask for your opinion. He believes you’d prefer a cute equipment, and since you admit that he’s right… he suggests getting you a dancer’s outfit instead. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Monk immediately gets excited since a dancer’s outfit is fluttery and sheer, while Beastmaster frowns and calls him a super pervert LOL. Dancer thinks a revealing outfit would look good on you, because while your chest is flat… your legs are actually pretty nice. 三ヾ(*´ ω `)ノ゙ ウッヒョヒョ♪ You get embarrassed upon hearing this, but Knight assures you that it’s okay. He can’t deny that your chest is unfortunate, but you have quite a nice figure. He doesn’t seem to be aware that he’s being extremely rude about your chest, but quickly apologizes when you get angry. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ

However, Monk gets a nosebleed as he imagines you in a revealing outfit. Beastmaster can tell what kind of delusion is playing in his mind, but he needs to stop getting a nosebleed over everything. It’s annoying. Or rather, creepy LOL. Monk apologizes, but since blood keeps dripping from his nose… Knight rejects the idea of buying you a dancer’s outfit. If Monk keeps getting nosebleeds, he’d eventually become useless in battle. That, or die of extreme blood loss. Monk says he wants an equipment to prevent nosebleeds, but of course such a thing doesn’t exist. Beastmaster offers to kill him and stop the nosebleed forever, but Knight says they can’t do that. If Monk is gone, he’d be the only vanguard in their party. As much as you want to help, Knight says the role is still too difficult for you.

When you ask for the reason, Knight tells you to take a look at your status. Since you’re a member of their party, your status is now displayed along with theirs. Dancer clicks on the menu to open it, but they’re all surprised to see how low your status is. It’s basically the default status at the beginning of the game, and Monk points out that it never goes up because you didn’t actually participate in battles. Knight explains that as the player, you were more like a spectator before. Now that you’re inside the game, you’re pretty much a newbie. Due to your low status, Beastmaster says three hits from a slime would be enough to put you in danger. This also means that a full plate mail would be too heavy for you, and it might reduce your HP with each step. Dancer says he can walk beside you while healing your HP, but Beastmaster thinks it’s just as absurd as letting Monk walk with blood dripping out of his nose. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ

Monk obviously wants you to wear the fluttery, sheer dancer’s outfit, but Beastmaster orders Pe to kill him if he gets another nosebleed LOL. Dancer then suggests a less revealing dancer’s outfit, but Knight wants him to get away from dancing for a while. He says it’s impossible though. If they take dancing away from him, he’d have nothing left! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ In any case, Knight concludes that they have to get lightweight equipments for you—such as leather breastplate. Monk also suggests equipping amulets or magic items to make up for your abysmal status, and Dancer agrees since you’ll look cute with bracelets or pendants. When you happily nod, he replies that it’s only natural if a girl wants to look fashionable. (人´∀`)☆゜’・:*

Beastmaster thinks it’s unusual for Monk to come up with a good suggestion though, and he asks if all of Monk’s worldly desires have been washed out of his mind—along with his nosebleed. It’s obviously not a praise, but Monk blushes and denies it like a shy young girl… because the poor thing never received much praise in his life LOL. Since they’re going shopping, the party decides to take a look at their equipments as well. If there’s anything they want to buy, they’ll purchase it along with your equipments. Dancer instantly says he wants “Fan of Captivation”, which increases MP recovery, and “Hermes’ Anklet, which allows the user to dance with light steps. Since you clearly know nothing about these items, Beastmaster tells you to learn a bit more about the items… but when you ask him to teach you, he turns red and says he wouldn’t mind. イヤン☆(*´∀`) σ)))))*3゚),・´.、

Beastmaster says it’s unfair for Dancer to get two items though, because he wants to buy “Magic Flute of Training” as well. Monk mutters that he wants “Night Companion: Viper Pie”, but Beastmaster points out that it’s not an equipment. In fact, buying it will make him look really sad. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ Dancer also asks him to give up on that idea, because eating the viper pie would only worsen his nosebleed—it’ll turn into a sea of blood. Knight tells him not to say things that might cause you to back away from them, and Monk tries to brush it off as a joke… but of course they all know he was serious LOL. Beastmaster asks if they can throw him into the evil lord’s castle, and Knight agrees to give a special permission. However, if Beastmaster dares to call him an “old man” again… he’ll throw Beastmaster along with Monk. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

Upon hearing this, you realize that you’re currently in the town near the evil lord’s castle. Knight reminds you that this is their second run, and Beastmaster asks if you only realized that now. You put them in this town just before taking on the last boss, but then you left the game and never came back. Maybe your situation didn’t allow you to continue playing, but it won’t change the fact that they were mortified. Right now they have no intentions of blaming you though. Besides, they’ve been waiting for you while staying in this town—though it was a sad memory for them. Since they couldn’t go on to slay the evil lord, Knight spent his free time as a border guard, Dancer worked in the pub, Monk did carpentry, while Beastmaster became an idol. Or rather, he performed in the plaza with his animals and became really popular among the middle-aged ladies. Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒Y⌒(。A。)アヒャヒャヒャヒャ!! Monk thinks doing street performance is a fine job though. You feel bad and apologize for putting them through such a hard time, but Monk blushes saying he doesn’t mind—he likes carpentry anyway. (o´艸`o)ァハ♪

Dancer also comments that Beastmaster is at a difficult age, and Knight nods saying he can remember it too. At that age, everyone wants to look big and great in front of people. However, Dancer points out that Knight just said the forbidden word and swiftly moves away… The next second, Beastmaster suddenly hits Knight with his whip—sarcastically apologizing for being a midget. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ Beastmaster then sends Pe to continue attack Knight, who tries to explain that he didn’t mean it that way… but at the same time, he’s also enjoying the pain. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Dancer asks Knight not to lie on the street like that though, or else he might get hit by a carriage. Knight actually finds the idea appealing, but since you’re worried about him… Dancer forces him to get up already LOL. It’s an embarrassing situation for a knight, but Dancer knows Knight must be happy that you saw him in such a state. When you ask what he means by that, Dancer only says it’s nothing. He thinks you might run away if he reveals Knight’s secret, so he’ll keep it a secret for now. It’s pretty obvious that Knight is a do-M though. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪

Since they have to take the quests, Beastmaster says they should head to the pub now. You tell him that minors aren’t allowed to drink, but apparently he never drinks alcohol—it’s always milk. ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ♪ Upon noticing that you have pity in your eyes, he frowns and asks why you’re looking at him like that LOL. He’s a minor, so he orders non-alcoholic drinks properly. Do you have a problem with that!? (`・ω・´) You’re also wondering if they always had so many internal arguments, but Dancer asks if you really should be saying that… because it’s all your fault to begin with LOL. People are starting to stare though, and knowing that it might lead them to endless arguments, the party finally moves on to the bar.

Pub and Quests

Upon entering the pub, the first thing you notice is that it’s much smaller than you imagined. Knight says it’s because the pub has turned into a place to take quests, and the guests inside never change no matter when you come. You never looked at the details though, so you didn’t notice at all. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ Dancer then orders their drinks and comes back with the quest list, and Knight leads the party to one of the tables. You accidentally bump into an old man along the way and apologize, but they tell you not to worry— all the old man does is laugh while holding his beer mug. Even if you slash him with a sword, that’ll be the only reaction you can get from him LOL. Monk then guides you to your seat, but he also uses this chance to grope your butt. Σ(-`Д´-ノ;)ノ!? You answer this by punching him away, while Beastmaster says that’s his own fault for taking advantage of the situation. In any case, you should hurry to the seat since people are queuing behind you.

Once everyone sits down, Dancer puts the quest list on the table. You note that there’s a lot of quests on the list, but Beastmaster says it’s all because you never bothered to do them—they’ve been piling up LOL. The others don’t mind as much though. You’re now here to take the quests with them, and they can go all out to make up for it. ☆-(ノ゚Д゚)八(゚Д゚ )ノイエーイ Due to their uselessly high HP, it’s possible for them to take the advanced quests immediately. Just then Beastmaster’s milk is delivered to their table, and Knight asks him to drink it—saying he’s probably irritable due to lack of calcium. Of course this doesn’t help fixing his mood at all, but it instantly gets better when you promise to do your best on the quest. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪

However, Knight then realizes something. They don’t know how long you can stay with them. You’re not a resident of this world to begin with, so it’s unclear whether you can continue staying here of not. This also reminds you of what the god said, that you’ll be able to go home after granting their wishes. The problem is that while they’re only wishing to clear the quests, they have no idea how many quests is necessary. Do you have to clear everyone’s quests? Or is it limited to one individual quest…? They’re traveling as a party, so there’s a chance that one quest is enough to grant everyone’s wish. Since the god didn’t say anything about this, they have to be prepared for the worst. Besides, it’s like a miracle that you’re inside the game… and miracles don’t happen so easily.

After a long silence, everyone starts panicking about whose quest to take first. Monk suggests choosing it with rock-paper-scissors, but Beastmaster says they can cheat by delaying their move. He thinks a lottery would be fairer, but then Dancer asks how they’re going to determine the drawing turns… and Monk says they’ll do it with rock-paper scissors. Which basically brings them back to square one LOL. Knowing it’s going to be an endless circle, Beastmaster suggests asking you to make the decision. Knight agrees since it seems to be the fairest method, and Dancer asks you to do it quickly—before the party starts attacking each other to reduce rivals. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

Individual Quests:
• Knight • Dancer • Beastmaster • Monk •

In the evening, the party safely returns to town. They’ve cleared a quest, so now they only have to wait for you to return to your world. They can relax at the inn tonight, though Monk says he has no time for that… because he’s planning to sneak into your room. Σ(・ω・*) He’s actually just joking, but he gets punched by everyone for throwing such a dumb remark LOL. You wonder why they sound so certain that you’re going to go home soon, and Knight says it’s their intuition—which have been sharply trained by battles. They’re probably going to find out in a few days. If you’re still here, they can do another quest with you. However, Monk points out the possibility of you going home while they’re asleep. Everyone falls silent upon hearing this, and it causes a heavy atmosphere to hang in the air.

Dancer is the one who eventually breaks the silence. He says they successfully cleared a quest, so they’re supposed to have fun tonight. Knight agrees, and so everyone decides to hold a lively banquet at the inn.

Banquet

During the banquet, the party tells you about the poor evil lord. He was waiting for his turn for so long, but they instantly killed him when he appeared. It’s just so tragic. The evil lord actually has the power to change his forms three times, but got killed before he could even do anything. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ Beastmaster is 100% sure that the evil lord is holding a grudge against you because of this LOL. It doesn’t help that he’s planning to get revenge on the second run, but then you left the game unfinished… and so he still hasn’t gotten any chance to appear. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ When they think about it, their fate is much better than the evil lord’s. You forced them to do a lot of reckless things, but Monk says they wouldn’t be here today if you didn’t do that… so it wasn’t for nothing. (人´∀`)☆゜’・:*

Knight nods saying everything is alright in the end, while Dancer points out that Monk said something nice for once. Beastmaster is also in a good mood tonight, so he lets it slide without throwing any spicy remarks. Monk can feel his confidence rising up after receiving this praise, and he decides to go with his plan to sneak into your room tonight… but Knight quickly comes over, hits him repeatedly, and tells him not to get carried away. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Monk sadly replies that it was just a joke, but Beastmaster says it doesn’t sound like one when he’s the one saying it—his ulterior motive is really obvious LOL. Dancer also comments that Monk sure doesn’t know when to give up, and Monk proudly says that’s just how he is… even though it’s clearly not a praise. アヒャヒャ。゚(゚ノ∀`。゚(゚ノ∀ヽ゚)゚。´∀ヽ゚)゚。ヒャヒャ

Since they’ve gotten derailed thanks to Monk, Dancer decides to restore the mood by performing his sexy dance. ヽ(○´∀`)人(´∀`○)ノイェーイ♪ He gets even more excited when you say you’ve been waiting for it, and he invites you to dance with him. Beastmaster then decides to join the fun by performing knife-throwing with you as the target, but Knight quickly snatches the target position for himself. Beastmaster complains that it takes away the thrill, so Monk says he’ll do the throwing instead. Then he takes the knife and hurls it at Knight, who trembles in pleasure and asks Beastmaster to join in LOL. Beastmaster eventually gives in and starts throwing knives at Knight too, while Knight happily asks them to aim for the vital spots. Σ(-∀-;)

After a while, Dancer begins pulling your clothes away as you dance with him. Of course Monk wants to join in, so he quickly comes over to mess up your clothes even more and ends up getting a nosebleed LOL. Knight snaps out of his do-M adventures to scold Monk, but even he blushes upon seeing you—muttering that you’re quite a feast for their eyes. (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ You turn red and quickly cover yourself up, while Dancer is happily spinning around the room in the background LOL.

Hot Springs

The next morning, Knight, Dancer, Beastmaster and Monk enter the hot springs—which feel like paradise after last night’s banquet. It’s quite spacious, so Dancer and Beastmaster are about to swim when Knight suddenly tells them to keep their voices down. Monk is completely silent with a serious expression on his face, and so Dancer asks if they detect a monster nearby… but Knight says this is tougher than a monster. Make the wrong decision, and they might regret it for the rest of their lives. Beastmaster soon notices that Monk gets yet another nosebleed, so he asks if it’s because of the hot water. However, Knight only smiles saying Beastmaster is still a naïve kid. Upon realizing what’s going on, Dancer decides to drop a few hints for him: they’re in the hot springs, and Monk has a nosebleed. It can only mean one thing—the women’s bath is directly beside them. You’re currently bathing, on the other side of the fence. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

The four perverts are grinning as they think about a certain plan, but…

……

……… ∑((((((゚д゚;ノ)ノ

They don’t notice this person’s presence at all though. He smiles in silence as he listens to their “peeping squad” plan, and quietly follows them as they move towards the fence—which is the biggest obstacle in their way. Monk then puts one ear against the fence to detect presence on the other side, which instantly causes more blood to drip out of his nose. Aside from you, he can feel the presence of several women as well. Knight happily whispers that it’s wonderful, while Beastmaster grumbles that they should have taken the quest that gives them an item to see through the wall. Σ(゚ー゚;)

Just then Dancer finally notices that they have one extra person on their “peeping squad”, and they have to actually COUNT to realize the silent man’s presence. Monk recognizes him as a villager who often gives them herbs in various villages, and they didn’t notice him at all because he blends with them so well LOL. The villager quietly leads them towards a certain side of the fence, where he shows them a peeping hole. Apparently he made it himself, as he visits everyday to increase the hole’s size. Σ(-`Д´-ノ;)ノ!?

I SWEAR THIS GAME HAS NOTHING BUT PERVERTS.

After praising the villager for doing a good job, Monk takes a look through the peeping hole and gets yet another nosebleed. Beastmaster grins saying he only thought of the villager as a person who gives them herbs for free, but he proves to be useful. ✿*,(*´◕ω◕`*)+✿.* However, they soon start having a fight over who should peep first. They keep pushing each other away from the fence, and this eventually causes the fence to collapse—exposing the “peep squad” to the women on the other side. Knight panics and tries to cover his eyes, saying this will hurt the fame of the knights. Monk, on the other hand, stares at the women with blood running out of his nose LOL.

As the women start throwing things at them, Beastmaster whines saying this can’t be happening to an idol like him… but then a wooden tub flies and hits him in the head. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ Dancer tries to get away by saying this is only an accident, but is forced to dodge their attacks because they obviously won’t take that as an excuse. Behind them, the villager silently sneaks away—still with the same smile on his face. (⊙ω⊙✿) Among the sound of buckets brutally hitting their targets, Dancer’s voice can be heard crying out an apology. Knight, on the other hand, is blushing and moaning in pleasure, enjoying the pain running through his bare skin. (lll’□’o)ァ・・・。

After leaving the hot spring, you run into the inn owner’s daughter and apologize for the trouble your friends caused. She says it’s not a problem because people like them come to their inn from time to time, but then she notices that you look sad. It’s partly because you feel bad for the peeping incident, but the main reason is because you’ll have to say goodbye to your friends soon…

Back to the Beginning…?

Since they’ve cleared a quest with you, the party takes you back to the place where they first found you… but there’s no one in sight. The god doesn’t appear either, which makes them wonder if the way to return home is just an excuse they made to answer complaints. Or maybe just to confuse you. You’re sad that no one comes to pick you up, but Dancer asks you to cheer up and smile—assuring you that it’ll be more fun to stay in this world. They also take back their words that you can go home today, because they can’t do anything if the god doesn’t pick you up. It’s really too bad though, since they’ve prepared a nice bouquet to send you off. Knight then says they’re going back to the inn now, and as unhealthy as it may sound for a knight… he’s going to let loose and indulge in drinks. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Monk asks if he can let loose too, but Beastmaster points out that he’s making perverted gestures with his hands.

Beastmaster: “Who and what are you going to fondle?”
Monk: “Hehe, hehehe…”
Dancer: “I don’t want to grow up like that~”
Knight: “Don’t worry. When the time comes, you’ll turn like that too. It’s how nature works.”

…!? Σ(゚ー゚;)

As Monk talks about how normal it is for people to get frustrated—in one way or another—a bright light suddenly appears in the sky. It’s the same light that carries you into this world, so they know it’s going to take you home. Dancer quickly shoves the bouquet into your hands, and your body starts to float into the air… but then Knight suddenly commands the party to attack, and everyone charges ahead to attack the light. Dancer increases everyone’s speed, Beastmaster repeatedly whips it, Monk releases his spirit attack, while Knight delivers the final blow by using self-destruct. What a perfect skill for a do-M. Thanks to the damage they inflicted, red sparks and black smoke appear in the sky. The light eventually disappears too, leaving to fall back to the ground… but Monk catches you just in time. ヽ(*´ー`*)ノ

Beastmaster grins upon seeing your confused expression, but Knight laughs saying it’s only obvious. You probably never thought that they’d attack the god. Dancer explains that they don’t want you to leave, so last night they made this secret plan. As you can see, their plan ends in a success. Monk happily exclaims that he’s successful too, and he totally takes advantage of the situation to grope your chest. Beastmaster whips him away though, while Dancer quickly secures you from the super pervert. ゚.+:。ヾ(o・ω・)ノ゚.+:。 The god is probably having a short circuit right now, and it might take time for him to fix it… so you’ll have to stay in this world in the meantime.

You turn red when Dancer gives you a hug to welcome you back, but Beastmaster protests that it’s unfair. He wants to touch you too! (。-∀-)ニヒ♪ After shoving Dancer out of the way, Beastmaster grins and warns you to be prepared. He’ll give you proper training until you become a good pet. Dancer also promises to teach you how to dance, and Knight laughs saying you’ll have to join their adventures for a while. Monk adds that he’s still frustrated too, so he wants you to relieve everything. In a lot of ways. If you know what I mean. (o´艸`o)ァハ♪ Knight says they should go back now, and they’re going to celebrate their victory at the inn. Dancer and Monk happily cheer in agreement, while Beastmaster assures you that they won’t do anything bad—asking you to take care of them from now on.

LOL this party is even more screwed than Brave’s. (((壊゚∀゚)))ァヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャヒャ It’s really sad how the heroine raised NOTHING but their HP, but the way they describe the evil lord is even more tragic. 。゚(゚ノ∀`゚)゚。アヒャヒャ Also, the penguin’s name is wonderful. The heroine obviously has an awesome naming sense, considering she also named the game’s main hero after pickled radish. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Just like before, I’m going to link the individual quests once the posts are up. The system and ending requirements are the same as the first game, so you can read my opinion on them here. Knight’s party also offers fresh interactions that are different from Brave’s party. If you liked the first Dot Kareshi, then I’d recommend playing this one as well.

As for the “Viper Pie” Monk wanted to buy, it’s actually a parody of Shunkado’s Unagi Pie. It’s known as a snack for nights because it’s meant to be eaten when people are enjoying their family time at night, but the title evolved into “night companion” instead—which may sound dirty depending on how you take it. In Monk’s case, it definitely goes all the way into the dirty zone. ヾ(✿❛◡❛ฺฺ)ノ~❤

THAT VILLAGER THOUGH……… (⊙ω⊙✿)

  1. Hello! I’m new to your blog and I adore otome games as well^^ I had a question: would you ever be interested in doing visual novel reader (vnr) – http://sakimichi.wordpress.com/2013/09/19/translating-visual-novels-without-hacking/

If you were ever interested in doing translations for games like dot kareshi or others. I like your summaries, but they’re nowhere near playing the game. I tried to play another otome game along your summaries, but it’s not really enjoyable, since they’re not translations. A couple of translators can work on a whole game, so you don’t have to do the whole game yourself either. Even some translations is better than nothing :)

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate what you’re doing, but yeah I’d love to be able to play the otome game itself and understand everything that’s going on haha. Anyways, I’m happy enough if you even read my silly little comment, let alone consider it^^ Thank you <3

    • Your comment, although worded politely is … downright rude.

Here’s an analogy. It’s like asking a taxi driver to drive you to work for free. Since a taxi drives all over town anyway, so he’s bound to drive by your workplace sometime. So Mr Taxi Driver should drive you there free-of-charge coz he’s so nice and all…

Translation is hard work. Pls dont ask ppl to translate a game FOR YOU (for free) so u can enjoy it. Also pls read the FAQ next time.

    • Hello Eliza! Let me give you a piece of advice. If you want to “be able to play the otome game itself and understand everything that’s going on”, how about YOU learn Japanese then, instead of asking other people to translate it for you for free? I think you’ll be able to enjoy it more that way. ;)

    • Have you ever read FAQ #10? That’s the answer to your question.

Also, if it was easy for you to ask her on doing translations, why don’t YOU start studying the language if you’re that desperate to understand what’s going on?

    • like she already got less work to do :/ she translates these summaries for us because of her love not as a job,she is also a human and got lot more things then just writing translation its easy to say others to translate but u should at least realize her personal problems and work, don’t burden her anymore it is due to these things that she gets demotivated and it can hurt her,and she’ll eventually stop translating if it goes on :(
Sorry Rin i hope I know i shouldn’t comment on this but i hope u don’t mind just wanted to stand up for u =) ♥

    • Σヽ(゚Д゚○)ノ!? Oh wow. Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Let’s make things clear because you seem to have a misunderstanding. First, summaries are by no means replacement for the actual game. I started writing summaries simply because my friends want to know the story in each character’s route, and eventually added more details to make them more complete as summaries. Translation is an entirely different thing. Aside from converting it into English / other language, you also have to reword, rephrase, or even change the sentence structures in order for everything to make sense. That takes a LOT of time, and I have very limited free time due to work and real life—as I’ve stated in the FAQ. (`-д-;)ゞ

Also, please don’t ask other bloggers / people to do this because it’s seriously demotivating. It’s like you’re telling us that what we’re doing isn’t good enough, that our effort is meaningless because it’s not enjoyable for you, no matter how politely you put it.

      • No problemoo! We’re here whenever you need us. /o/

Also, I appreciate all the hard work you’ve been putting on your summaries; I’m thankful that I get to read these (even if I haven’t read more of them recently ;u;).

  2. THE VILLAGER RETURNS OMG

Thank you for your translations summaries~ I enjoy reading them very much! Although I still love Brave’s team the most (esp Healer hehehe), I’ll be looking forward to this team translation summaries (:

    • That villager is definitely hiding something. So shady LOL.
Thanks for reading and commenting, I’m hoping to finish the next summary in a few days. :D

  3. Hello Rin! I haven’t read this summary yet because I’m planning on playing the game myself then read your summary beside it (ノ´∀`*)ノ Thank you for always writing great summaries! They’re a big help when I’m trying to learn Japanese but not wanting to bother to look up the dictionary for every word _(:3」∠)_ But really, thank you for devoting your time to write it between work and other stuff! (What RPGs are you playing btw, if you don’t mind me asking?)

Moving on, I wonder if the villager is just shy, invisible like Kuroko or… something else (゜д゜;)

    • Hello, thanks for leaving such a nice comment. (人´∀`)アリガトー♪
I’ve been playing Gust’s old RPGs (Ar Tonelico 2, Mana Khemia 2, etc.) that I never got to play due to my PS2’s death, and now I’m doing Rune Factory 4. I was looking forward to it for months, so now it’s absorbing nearly all of my free time. (・´ェ`・;)ゞ

According to the latest issue of Dengeki Girl’s Style, that villager is definitely more than just a normal villager LOL. Maybe you saw it coming too since he’s REALLY shady, but yeah. Pretty much something else. 8D

    • The next part will be up in a few days. ヾ(o´∀`o)ノ♪
Also, thanks for the comments! I get powered up by positivity, so you really helped restoring my motivation. :D

  4. LOL! I agree that this party’s absurdity makes Brave’s party looked..normal? aドM Knight is very original and he’s voiced by Hirakawa Daisuke too! Also Tori-san as the extremely pervert monk XDDD I can’t wait for the individual’s route!
    Aannddd….the shady villager is back!
*cough*Ithinkhehasaroute*cough* not in this one anyway I think XP

    Thank you for the summary!

  5. Umm wow, well I certainly wasn’t expecting an attack of all those responses. And yeah, I didn’t notice that part in the FAQ, so my bad. Yes, I made a mistake in misunderstanding that these summaries were meant to supplement playing the game.

Moreover, I AM currently learning Japanese and otome games are my main motivation. It’s only been a couple of months in, but I’m slowly getting better which is reassuring. I personally hope to be a translator in a year or two and translate visual novels for those who don’t know Japanese. Anyways, sorry for my “politely worded rude” question. That wasn’t my intention at all. I’ll make sure I won’t visit again.

  6. Thank’s for updating this!
Recently I don’t have time to play any games so complete summary like yours is my source to fulfill my otome desire, not to mention Dot Kareshi summary is a good way to start a day with laughter XD
THE VILLAGER IS BACK, and next month it’d be his turn with the poor, poor evil lord. If I ever play RPG again I’d never see evil lord and random npc like I used to be, thanks to this game LOL.

    • According to Dengeki Girl’s Style, Villager is in love with you but bitter because he’s only a plain NPC. That’s why he wants to build a world just for the two of you, so he can watch over you forever. ✿*,(*´◕ω◕`*)+✿.* Yeah, I agree. This game has warped people’s views on classic RPG characters LOL. Be careful of random villager NPCs from now on, who knows what’s going on in their programmed minds. :3c

  7. yey!!! another series of this game!! Your reviews are awesome as before!

I can’t stop grinning while reading this. The main characters are very “unique” in their own way!

And that shady villager.. i can’t wait for his route~

  8. Oh…. gee…. what the…. okay, that NPC is just…… I don’t know what to say now. And also I think I had said this before in the first game but…… gee, that Hot Spring Scene is simply genius~ ✿*,(*´◕ω◕`*)+✿.*
I never played Dragon Quest before actually (and somehow glad that I didn’t) but maybe I might take some glance on it after I’m done with all my RPG…. I think the habit of this heroine to put a drop before the Final Boss started affecting me….

    • OMG you have that habit too? xD
I have the nasty habit of trucking through a game and play it obsessively, save in front of the final boss, then wander away and never return LOL. Dot Kareshi games make me feel so terrible for doing that, so now I’m trying to fix that habit.

LOL I know how you feel about that villager. He’s just too shady beyond words.

      • I don’t want to lose all that precious item I spend day and night to look for actually~ :p And really, when we get to maximal level, kicking the Evil Lord ass and then losing all that equipment and level sounded like a bad joke. But really, if the character of the game went mad like this……… I think I will kick the Evil Lord ass just so they won’t hold any grudge to me.

I’m going to get scared on talking to random NPC from now on~ and I better take a better

  9. Hi, I wanted to thank you for writing all the parts!;)
I wanted to play this game but since it’s japanese I can’t …so I’m really thankful that you post many games I always wanted to play:’)….
You’re probably going to advise me to learn japanese so I can play it… And yeah, I WAS learning it some mounth ago using guides but after I saw this sites I decided to quit. Since even if I never played , it’s fun reading your post and it’s like I played the game! So I hope you will continue doing so;)
(Obviously when you have time, I’m not forcing you to do so….^^”)

So thank you for all the post!:)
p.s. Your comments(in games) are soo and always funny!XD

    • Hello! :D
You’ll miss a lot of things if you don’t play the games though, like the sounds and the amazing voice acting. Of course it’s your choice, but I’d still recommend playing it if you have the chance / want to give it another try. Thank you you for leaving such a nice comment. ❤ I don’t think I’m a funny person, but if my commentaries entertain you then I’m glad to hear that LOL.

  10. The overall opinion of the game… still absolutely amusing as ever! But seriously… THOSE PERVERTS.
Hot spring scene, still so funny! One of my favourite scenes in the game—! This party has a different appeal from the first game’s, but of course, they’re still amusing!
A great,light-hearted game that’s bound to make you smile and laugh!
