Next up is Beastmaster. I wasn’t too interested in him at first, but he turns out to be such a sarcastic yet cute tsundere. ❤ Also, let me put this reminder that his penguin’s name was Leonardo Pitt Johnny Damon before they changed it LOL.
Beastmaster’s days were filled with endless training, because you turned way too many monsters into allies. When he came back to his senses, Beastmaster has been awakened to the pleasure of whipping. Which ultimately turned him into a sadist. He’s aware of his own cuteness and he can be calculating at times, but he’s extremely concerned about his short stature. Beastmaster fights with his beloved whip and pet penguin—Pe. 158 cm / 45 kg. His blood type is B.
❤ Quest: BEASTMASTER
If you choose Beastmaster’s quest, he smirks saying it’s only obvious for you to choose him. He also thinks you deserve some praise for making such a good decision. ヽ(*´ー`*)ﾉ When you ask him about the details of the quest, Beastmaster says he wants a new pet. Pe cries out upon hearing this, but he tells the penguin not to worry—because Pe is his partner and his number one pet. Knight doesn’t think it’s necessary to do a quest just for a new pet though. Dancer nods saying they can just capture one in a nearby forest, while Monk adds that he doesn’t even need to get them involved. However, Beastmaster sighs saying they don’t get it at all. He’s taking this quest because he doesn’t want to a weak pet, then he turns to you and asks if he can take you as his pet instead. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ You shyly say you don’t mind if that’s what he’s wishing for, and he seems amused to hear your answer… but he says it feels a bit lacking if his pet obeys him right from the start.
At the same time, Monk’s imagination and nosebleed go out of control. He thinks Beastmaster is planning to monopolize you and do questionable things, and he won’t let that happen. Out of jealousy, Monk then charges in to attack… but just with two cracks of the whip, Beastmaster stops him and commands him to sit down. Beside them, Knight muses that Beastmaster has trained a “wild beast”. (((壊ﾟ∀ﾟ)))ｧﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬ Since Beastmaster has caught Monk as his new pet, Dancer gives applause and concludes that they have cleared the quest. Of course Beastmaster refuses to accept such a dumb conclusion, and he offers to give Dancer a good whipping PLUS some salt to the wounds. Knight is very interested and wants to accept the torture, but Dancer realizes that their conversation is getting more and more dangerous… so he decides to stop it and takes everyone to head out for the quest LOL.
Along the way, Knight asks about what Beastmaster wants to capture as a pet. When he answers that it’s a dragon, you’re really surprised and instantly panic. You think it’s impossible because dragons are really dangerous, but Beastmaster frowns and asks if you’re underestimating him. Besides, he never expected to hear common sense from you—the person used brute force to advance through the game. You feel guilty and tell him that you’re reflecting on your actions, but he wants you to show it by working hard and help him to capture the dragon. ((o･д･)b♪ Knowing that you don’t have any options, you can only give him a silent nod.
Not too long after that, the party runs into a sexy procuress. When she invites them to drop by her place, Monk blushes and immediately walks over to her side. Knight reminds him that they’re in the middle of a quest, but then she offers 100 whippings along with free candle service… and Knight instantly decides to follow her. Σ(-`Д´-ﾉ；)ﾉ!? Since both Monk and Knight completely fell to the temptation, Dancer sends you and Beastmaster to go on ahead. He’s going to get them back, and promises to catch up soon. As Dancer runs off to chase after them, Beastmaster sighs with an really displeased expression. You then ask why he wants a dragon as a pet, and he answers that it used to be his dream. When he was small, he read a story like that in a picture book. The hero was friends with a dragon, and they helped each other during their adventures. Back then he used to admire their friendship. When you say it’s a wonderful dream, he gets flustered and says it was just a childhood dream. (｡-∀-)ﾆﾋ♪ Right now he only wants a powerful servant, and he takes you to resume the journey.
From there, the party finds their way towards the sea. According to the information, most people saw the dragon in this vicinity… but since the sea is insanely wide and vast, of course they don’t know where it is. It doesn’t help that sea dragons are excellent divers too. When Knight asks what Beastmaster is going to do, Beastmaster answers by pushing Knight into the sea. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ Dancer and Monk are shocked to see him drowning below the cliff, while Beastmaster calmly explains that Knight is the bait—or rather, the feed—to lure the dragon out. Dancer comments that it’s such a heartless plan, and Monk doesn’t think he can float back onto the surface due to his full plate mail. You get really worried about Knight because of this, but Beastmaster tells only you not to panic. There’s no way that stubborn “old man” would go down that easily. His HP is ridiculously high, so he won’t die right away even if he takes damage underwater. In fact, he’s probably enjoying the sensation of his HP going down. Both Dancer and Monk agree, knowing Knight is probably excited to experience a new style of pain. ヽ(*´ー`*)ﾉ
Now all they have to do is wait for the result.
…except it’s not working.
After waiting for 30 minutes, Pe eventually breaks the silence with its cry. Beastmaster complains that it’s taking so long. The sea remains calm, and there’s absolutely no change LOL. Putting the dragon aside, Dancer wonders if Knight is still alive. Monk says Knight will be able to find his watery grave at this rate, but Dancer points out that he’s putting it in a weird way. From the way he said it, it’s like he’s expecting Knight to sink to the bottom of the sea. Monk seems confused and asks if he’s wishing for it to happen, but Dancer frowns saying he can’t answer that question for him. (((壊ﾟ∀ﾟ)))ｧﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬ Since the plan isn’t working, Beastmaster then decides to change his strategy. You’re still worried and ask about Knight, but he tells you not to worry—he’ll avenge the old man in the upcoming battle. When Dancer asks if he’s treating Knight like a noble victim who fell in battle, Beastmaster answers that he’s not noble at all since he was useless. ｡ﾟ(ﾟﾉ∀`ﾟ)ﾟ｡ｱﾋｬﾋｬ Dancer thinks Knight must be turning in his grave right now, and Monk sadly stares at the sea… because Knight isn’t floating back at all LOL.
For the next plan, Beastmaster says he needs your help. Dancer warily asks if he’s going to make you do something dangerous, while Monk adds that he doesn’t want you to become the second victim. However, Beastmaster assures them that it’s fine. He only wants you to give him a hand. From a long time ago, dragons always take young women as sacrifices. You’re obviously shocked, and Dancer instantly protests that it’s way beyond dangerous… but Beastmaster explains that he won’t sacrifice you for real. It’s only an act. He’s going to make a small cut on your finger and drop some of your blood into the sea. Once the dragon smells the blood of a young woman, it will definitely come over.
Monk nods saying now he understands why Beastmaster wants you to literally give him your hand, and Beastmaster wonders if Monk is trying to make a joke… but then realizes that he’s not. Dancer agrees that Monk must have taken the literal meaning seriously, so Monk grins saying he’s a serious person at heart. Even though it’s obviously not a joke. (○´ﾟωﾟ｀):;*.’:;ﾌﾞｯ Beastmaster also points out that they are clearly on different wavelengths, because Monk clearly doesn’t understand what he means LOL. Since the plan of using your blood sounds promising, Dancer says they should’ve done it right from the start instead of sacrificing Knight. Beastmaster brushes this off by saying the water’s under the bridge now, and he’s not the type who dwells in the past. ✿*,(*´◕ω◕`*)+✿.* Dancer weeps saying he wasn’t this terrible before, but Beastmaster only tells him to shut up. It’s all in the past now, and as he just said… he doesn’t dwell in the past. ﾟ.+:｡ヾ(o･ω･)ﾉﾟ.+:｡
In any case, you agree to help Beastmaster. Just as planned, he makes a small cut on your finger with his knife—promising that Dancer will heal you once it’s over. Dancer also mentions that sea dragons have a keen sense of smell, so the dragon should be able to sense your blood even from far away. As soon as you drop your blood into the sea, Monk notices a change in the water—something is coming to the surface of the sea. Beastmaster grins saying they probably hit the target, and the blood of a young girl proves to be very effective. Unlike the dirty old man he sacrificed earlier. ヽ(*´ー`*)ﾉ The next second, a large water pillar rises up from the sea. Beastmaster wonders if the dragon finally appears, but then Dancer notices that it also hurls a certain old man towards them… and Monk cheers upon realizing that it’s his pervert comrade. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ Dancer is impressed when Knight lands in front of them with a perfect pose, and the latter proudly replies that it’s only obvious—even though he’s running out of breath LOL.
Beastmaster, on the other hand, points out that Knight took so long to return. He asks about what Knight did underwater, but he doesn’t want to hear an old man’s long, tedious talk either… so he wants Knight to keep it under 30 characters. ﾟ+.ﾟ(´▽`人)ﾟ+.ﾟ Knight instantly protests since it won’t be enough to describe his heroic story, but they don’t have time for arguments right now—because the dragon emerges from the sea. At the same time, Knight smiles saying he had quite a meaningful time thanks to the dragon. He was enjoying the “teasing sensation” of underwater damage when he encountered the dragon, so he decided to test the power of the infamous dragon breath… with his body. 。o@(^ゝω・)@o。ニコッ♪ Upon hearing this, Dancer sighs saying Knight just made a do-M remark. He finds it scary, since who in their right minds would want to test that out? (((壊ﾟ∀ﾟ)))ｧﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬ
Ignoring Dancer, Knight continues explaining that he attacked the dragon and challenged it into combat. It was truly a desperate battle for him, because his HP was decreasing underwater and the dragon breath was so powerful. Somehow it made him feel closer towards the dragon, and he even gave it a name.
Dancer: “Wait a second—! That’s dangerous. In a lot of ways.”
Knight: “Why? I think Doraeric is a nice name.”
Beastmaster doesn’t like it though. The dragon is going to be his pet, so the name is up to him.
Monk: “Isn’t that dangerous too…?”
Beastmaster: “Huh? What’s so dangerous about Doramiranobovich?”
WHAT IS NAMING SENSE. (⊙ω⊙✿)
While they’re busy discussing about the name, the dragon has made its way towards the party. The first thing it does is to attack you, but Beastmaster pushes you out of the way just in time. It was really close, and he tells you to stand back. Since your HP is low, one attack from the dragon will be enough to send you to the afterlife. When you thank him for saving you, Beastmaster says it’s not like he’s asking for your gratitude. It’s just that he’d be troubled if anything happens to you, so he wants you to be more careful. Upon realizing what he just said, he quickly adds that it’s simply because the quest might get interrupted if anything happens to you. That’s all. (｡-∀-)ﾆﾋ♪ Beastmaster says he won’t save you again though, and so he wants you to protect yourself properly.
Knight then commands everyone to get into their regular formation, but the dragon roars and hits all of them with a single blow. When Beastmaster and Knight try attacking back, it forms a barrier from the sea water to block their hits—making the battle troublesome. As the dragon launches another attack, Dancer casts a defensive barrier around them… but he knows it won’t last for long if the dragon keeps attacking them. Before they can think up of anything, the dragon goes to spray sea water towards the entire party. It’s a simple attack that doesn’t really do any damage, but Dancer’s barrier isn’t effective against it… and so everyone is drenched from head to toe. Including you. *｡☆:･’ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ*:･’ﾟ☆ﾟ･* Monk gets an intense nosebleed upon looking at you, and Knight turns to realize that your clothes are now see-through thanks to the flood of sea water. Monk grins saying he’s so happy to see such an erotic scenery, and even Knight admits that you’re giving them a nice view. Σ(ﾟーﾟ；) Beastmaster warns them not to look away during a battle, but it’s too late—the dragon blows them away with one swoop.
Now that the
perverts vanguards are gone, the dragon goes on to approach you. Despite what he said earlier, Beastmaster rushes to your rescue and whips the dragon. He’s really pissed that a “mere reptile” is doing whatever it wants, and he orders the dragon to bow before him. As he repeatedly cracks his whip, Beastmaster tells the dragon that it’s his servant. A servant isn’t allowed to land a finger on their master’s property… or else. The dragon flinches in fear and eventually bows down, and Beastmaster pats its head as the reward for being a good boy. ヽ(*´ー`*)ﾉ By the time Knight and Monk come back, Beastmaster has successfully tamed the dragon. It even obeys his orders to sit and gives its hand, and he’s pleased with the result of the training—though he realizes that it feels a bit different from his childhood dream LOL. Since the dragon has become his servant, Beastmaster then makes a “collar contract” with it to bind them together. Knight and Monk don’t get why it became a servant instead of a pet though. ｡ﾟ(ﾟﾉ∀`ﾟ)ﾟ｡ｱﾋｬﾋｬ
On the way back to the village, Dancer says he was thrown into panic for a while… but Beastmaster did a marvelous job taming the dragon. Knight thinks Beastmaster is probably the first person in the world who tamed a sea dragon, considering they’re also known as the gods of the sea. When you ask what a “collar contract” is, Beastmaster frowns and complains that your question comes way too late. It also makes him realize that you really didn’t think about anything other than raising their levels LOL. He explains that a “collar contract” is a system that allows the dragon to live freely, but he can summon it whenever he needs it. You think he’s amazing for training a dragon like that, and he smiles saying it’s only obvious. This is nothing much for him. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ It also gives Beastmaster a very nice idea of training you next time—as a pet. He’ll pamper you as much as you want, but of course you’ll get punished by his whip if you don’t listen to him. He’s going to buy you a leash in town, so you can look forward to it. (⊙ω⊙✿)
❤ After the Quest
After returning to town, Beastmaster takes you to talk in private. He asks if you’re really wishing to return to your world, even though it means you won’t be able to meet him anymore. Of course you might be able to see him again by playing the game, but he points out that he’s MUCH cuter in person than in CG. (*´艸`*)ｧﾊ♪ Beastmaster asks if you don’t think of it as a great loss, and he’s certain that you’ll come to regret it later… but no matter how much to regret it, it’ll be too late once you’ve returned to your world. After a short silence, Beastmaster snaps and tells you not to leave. He reminds you that you’re his pet, and a pet should never leave their master’s side. That’d make you a failure as a pet.
❤ Staying with Beastmaster
Beastmaster’s childhood dream actually has a continuation. During an adventure with the dragon, the hero saved a princess of a neighboring country. Beastmaster admired how cool the hero looked when he rescued the princess from evil, and he wanted to be like that too someday. When a strange light appears to wrap you, Beastmaster is reminded of this dream. The light is the evil, and he’s the hero who’s going to save the princess—it’s all the same as his childhood dream. A long time ago, he thought about treasuring his princess if he manages to save her… but maybe it’s a bit different in reality.
A few days later, Beastmaster and you are doing a quest on a cliff. He tells you to stop crawling and get back up already, but you say it’s impossible—you’re too scared to stand up. He frowns and asks if you really want to get the quest done, and you answer that you do. It’s just you never thought the location would be on such a steep cliff. Beastmaster gets irked and asks why you tagged along then, but you say you’re worried about him. It’s not that you think he’s unreliable, but he might get attacked by a strong monster and die along the way… and he’ll have a hard time if no one is around to revive him. He’s more amazed by how you can say such a terrible thing so casually though LOL.
While you do have a point, Beastmaster points out that he can always load if anything happens. You look surprised to hear this, which brings him to the realization that you must have forgotten about the load system. (((壊ﾟ∀ﾟ)))ｧﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬ He sighs saying he can understand why you wanted to tag along now, and he feels stupid for expecting that you might want to be alone with him. (｡-∀-)ﾆﾋ♪ When you ask if he said something, he quickly says it’s got nothing to do with you… but then he realizes that it’s not entirely hopeless either. You followed him because you don’t want him to die, so you must have feelings for him somehow. After pondering about this, Beastmaster holds out his hand for you. You only give him a confused look, so he sighs saying you’re so dense—he’s trying to help you stand. As he pulls you up, he mentions that you might have to lose some weight. Because he finds you heavy.
Unfortunately, this causes you to panic. Despite his attempt to warn you that it’s dangerous, you end up slipping off the ledge—only having his hands to hold onto. He tells you to secure your foothold quickly, but you tell him to let go since you might drag him down with you. Beastmaster isn’t pleased to hear this, and he asks if you want to fall alone. You should use the time to secure your foothold instead of saying such things, and desperately try to live if you don’t want to drag him down. That, and he refuses to let go of your hand. If you’re going to fall, then he’ll go down with you. Earlier you said that you don’t want him to die, and he feels the same way—he doesn’t want you to die either. Besides, you’re not a resident of this world. It’s unclear whether resurrection items will have any effects on you, so he won’t let go—even if his hand is going numb. Luckily you manage to find a ledge to step on, and he helps you to climb back up.
When you thank him, Beastmaster says he didn’t do much. Instead, he wants you to be careful since the ground is just as unstable around the cliff. You trip again as soon as he says this, but he catches you just in time and teasingly asks if this makes your heart flutter. ﾟ+.(*ﾉωヾ*)ｬﾝ♪+ﾟ You instantly get flustered, so he grins and decides to let it slide. That aside, Beastmaster notices that he’s probably supposed to do this quest alone. He thought it was strange because the task is to pick a rare antidote herb—which grows on the peak of the cliff—but he didn’t expect everyone else in the party to get poisonous mushrooms in their stew. They’re currently bedridden, leaving him to do the quest alone. You’re confused because your stew wasn’t poisoned, but Beastmaster points out that you’re not supposed to be a member of the party. That’s probably why you didn’t get a poisonous mushroom. Or maybe it’s yet another bug LOL. He doesn’t really care though, since it won’t change their situation anyway.
Beastmaster then says that after he’s done with this quest, he’s going to give you proper training. If you can’t climb up from a cliff, you’re going to have a hard time in the long run… because he’s planning to take you on various adventures from how on. Noticing that you’re turning red, Beastmaster blushes too and tells you not to misunderstand. He’s just taking you as a pet! It’s not like he wants to have a happy ending like the hero and the princess or anything! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ When you ask what he’s talking about, he simply asks you to ignore it LOL. He does have to admit that you’re a lovely pet to him though. After asking you to take care of him from now on, Beastmaster smiles and takes you to leave—going back to where the two of you belong.
❤ Returning with Beastmaster
Beastmaster is definitely not happy that you’re going to leave him behind, and he thinks you’ve got a lot of nerve for trying to return to your world alone. He won’t allow that to happen. If his pet underestimates him, it’ll damage his reputation as a beastmaster. However, the god and you are caught off-guard. You look really surprised when Beastmaster follows you back to your world, and he still laughs whenever he remembers your expression.
A few days later, Beastmaster wonders how Pe is doing. Did it go back to live with his friends? Or maybe someone else in the party took it as a pet? The latter seems very unlikely though, and Beastmaster thinks Pe will be their master instead. (○´ﾟωﾟ｀):;*.’:;ﾌﾞｯ When you ask if he remembers Pe because of a penguin news on TV, he admits that he does. It was a refreshing surprise for him, because he didn’t expect to see a creature that looks exactly like Pe in your world. You also ask if he feels lonely without Pe, and he says it’d be a lie if he says no—they were always together after all. Pe is smart and strong though, so Beastmaster isn’t worried about it. In fact, he’s more worried about his other pet—you. He thinks you’re unreliable and doesn’t seem to be smart either, and he came here because he just can’t abandon you… so he wants you to be grateful. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ While you do feel grateful to him, you admit that you feel happy even more because you can always be with him from now on.
Beastmaster blushes upon hearing this, and he replies that you can’t say that for sure. If he gets bored of this world, he might go back into the game. He knows you’ll be lonely if he leaves though, so he wouldn’t do that anytime soon. At the same time, he also makes it clear that it’s only because you’ll be lonely—not because he’ll feel sad or anything! Nope! ヽ(*´－`*)ﾉ When you laugh and say that it makes you happy, he smiles saying it’s only natural. Having their master staying by their side is the greatest blessing a pet can ever receive, and he asks you to take a very good care of him so he won’t get bored. You happily nod, but he says that’s not enough to prove anything. He wants you to show it through your actions instead. Since you look confused, he explains that he’s asking you to finish studying quickly. If you’re not done studying yet, he
won’t get your attention will have too much free time on his hands.
In order to pass time, Beastmaster then decides to play Unlimited Quest. The first thing he wants to do is to change his friends’ names to “old man”, “spendthrift” and “super pervert”. (((壊ﾟ∀ﾟ)))ｧﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬﾋｬ He wants to mess with the formation too by putting Dancer as a vanguard, while Knight can stay in the back and mix herbs LOL. Knight will get desperate to change positions as he watches Dancer getting attacked, and this amuses Beastmaster to no end. He wonders if Knight will become even more warped into a super pervert on top of being a do-M, though he finds this idea disturbingly creepy. ｡ﾟ(ﾟﾉ∀`ﾟ)ﾟ｡ｱﾋｬﾋｬ When you tell him that he’s being mean to his friends, Beastmaster points out that it’s YOUR fault he turned like this. He was initially created to be a cute, idol-like character—as unbelievable as that may sound. (ｏ´艸`ｏ)ｧﾊ♪
In any case, Beastmaster says he’ll mess with the game if you don’t finish studying soon. When you get up from your desk he asks if you have any complaints… but you explain that you’re done studying for today, and now you’re going to play with him. He answers that he doesn’t mind if that’s what you’re wishing for, and he points out that it’s necessary for you to take breaks from studying. Besides, it’s also a master’s job to take care of their pet’s health. ✿*,(*´◕ω◕`*)+✿.* When he asks what you’re going to play, you happily invite him to see penguins at the zoo… and so he leaves to get changed.
By the time Beastmaster returns, he notices that you’ve changed your clothes as well. You point out that you’re going up with him, so you put effort into dressing up. (人´∀`)☆゜’・:* At first he says you have good dedication, but then he shyly admits that you look cute. He tries to cover it up by saying anyone can look good with the right clothes, but nervously adds that they look quite nice on you. ｲﾔﾝ☆(*´∀`)σ)))))*3ﾟ),･´.､ However, Beastmaster doesn’t feel like going out anymore now. When you ask him why, he answers that he doesn’t want anyone else to see you looking so cute. You’re his pet, so you should only show your cute side in front of him. ヽ(*´－`*)ﾉ After warning you to never dress up like this in front of others, Beastmaster promises to cherish you. That is, if you behave and listen to him. Despite all the things he says, you’re the best pet he’s ever had. As he moves closer to kiss you, Beastmaster says he’ll never let you go. You should be prepared, because he’ll take the backbone out of you with his training.
Man, Beastmaster is so cheeky and cute. 壁|ω-o)ﾟ+. ﾎﾟｯ While I have a soft spot for cheeky younger guys like him, I have to say that he doesn’t express his affection enough—especially because he keeps treating you as a pet until the end. It reminds me of Wasurenagusa‘s Hijikata, and I have very conflicting feelings about him too LOL. Beastmaster is adorable when he blushes and tries to cover up his feelings though, so I was hoping we’d get to see that side a bit more. The scene where he tames the sea dragon is probably my favorite in this route, because he basically treats the dragon like a dog. (｡-ܫ-｡)ﾑﾌｯ♥ I’m a bit sad that Beastmaster and Pe are separated in the return ending too, but I guess you can’t bring a shady penguin who’s named after various celebrities into the real world…
On another note, it’s been a LONG time since I heard Yamaguchi Kappei in an otome game.
